Howa-Legacy 1500 223Rem Green Hogue Package/w Threaded 4-16x44 - 20" Barrel, Synthetic, Green Hogue Stock

I wanted to wait a while before reviewing this package because I think those are the reviews that help the most. This package seems like a pretty good deal. I was a little disappointed with the scope that came with it. If I remember correctly, the Legacy Sports website states that the Nikko Sterling FFP scopes are made in Japan. The scope that came with my package was made in...where else...China. The clarity of the glass is sub par but it keeps a zero. Ok not too big a deal I didn't expect it to come with a Leupold for this price. The rifle itself has a really nice trigger, and seems very well made. I bought this gun for my son, and even with the low budget scope and cheap FMJ ammo we can easily shoot 1.25 inch groups at 100 yards. Mind you, neither one of us is a great shooter. I wonder what this gun will do with good glass and premium ammo? I would absolutely recommend this rifle, for the money it's a steal. However, If I were doing it all over I would probably just buy the rifle and add my own optic.
