Kel-Tec SUB-2000 Beretta 92 Rifle 9mm - Blue/Black, 16.25" Barrel, 17 Rounds

Heard a lot of great reviews on the Kel-Tec SUB2000, and folks I know that have one love the little carbine, so I got the itch and ordered one from Bud's. Hard to find a 9mm locally, but Bud's had it in stock. So far I am well pleased with this unique little rifle. It has handled every brand of ammo, no matter how dirty, and I have had no FTF's or FTE's. Mine shot about 3" left at 25 yards, and once I adjusted the front sight it was dead-on when I moved out to 50 yards. At 50 yards, I use a six o'clock hold and get consistent 3" groups with the open sights. Using a fine bead hold, I can put every round in upper body mass at 100 yards with 5" groups slow fire. But the main feature of the SUB2000 is FUN!! It's a blast to shoot and is the most fun I've had with a weapon in a while. And whenever someone sees it, they are hooked. Folded, it fits in a small back pack along with an extra clip and a couple hundred rounds of ammo, making it the ultimate truck, bug-out, SHTF gun. For the price and utility, who cares how ugly it is. Get one.

I bought this rifle primarily because Kel-Tec offers conversions for so many different magazines. I have a Beretta CX4 already to use with my Beretta 92 series mags, so I got the CZ75 magazine catch from Kel-Tec for $12.50. Install was easy and it functions just as well as it did with the Beretta magazines. Some notes: -The "factory" magazine included with the rifle had the same finish and markings as the 17 round mags that came with my Beretta 92A1. That means they are Beretta factory (which are MecGar and super high quality). -The grip frame is just slightly too long for "Compact" magazines, my Beretta 92FS Compact mags (13 rounds) and my CZ P-01 (14 rounds) and IWI Jericho 941 Compact (13 rounds) don't work. Full-size and larger magazines work fine. If this had the Glock 19/23 grip length it would be more versatile but it isn't a deal breaker. Unfortunately the shorter G19/23 grip frame is Glock magazine only and isn't easily convertible to other magazines. -So far as I know this is the only game in town for a PCC using magazines other than Glock or Beretta, there are choices for the CZ75, SIG P22X Series, Canik TP9, S&W 59XX series, S&W M&P Series, and others. Overall, I am very pleased, especially for the $350ish price.

This is a fun gun to shoot! I have less than 50 rounds fired, but no failures... It has operated as expected. The ProMag BER-A4 32 round mag is a nice add-on at a reasonable price ($20 from Buds). I have found several inexpensive upgrades that are reviewed to be "must haves" for the Sub2000... If you're planning to purchase this item, run a internet search for Sub2000 upgrades.

When I first saw this carbine there was barely any in stock everywhere I looked online. A few months later I see the Berreta version and brought it without question. After taking it to the range I put close to 100 rounds through it using Winchester and American Eagle with no FTF, trigger is nice, break down is pretty simple. The only problem is finding magazines, beretta 92 series aren't that common and I should have gotten the glock version instead so I could accessorize my carbine better.

Purchased on June 11th, delivered June 14th.... This is my ninth gun from Bud's.... Great service... Now to the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm for Beretta 92 magazines. Following the instructions to the letter, I was unable to reinsert the bolt. The cocked hammer protrudes just enough to block it. I reset it several times per the Kel-Tec video with no luck. I have not fired it and it is on its' way to Kel-Tec for repair on June 19th. Internet research revealed this is a very common problem. The common cause is releasing the hammer with the bolt out. You simply reset the hammer with a screwdriver or wooden dowel.. Others have the same problem as me. The hammer is cocked and safety is engaged, but bolt will not properly seat during reassembly. I bought the Bud's lifetime warranty which is unnecessary. Kel-Tec has a lifetime warranty, but you cannot register the warranty. You have to have proof of purchase for warranty, which could be years down the road. So do not lose your receipt. We will see how well Kel-Tec customer service performs. I own eight Beretta 92 variants and the CX-4 Storm. The Kel-Tec will be added to the mix of compatible ammunition and magazine capabilities.. Anything mechanical can break, so I am withholding final judgment, but I like the design. I just wish it worked. I will update when fixed which may be up to sixty days. Again, no issues with Bud's
