Ray, These French law enforcement trade ins have been sold out for several months. I got 2 for $260 each.

I will rephrase - Has anyone made a YouTube video about THESE Model 10's? The one's Bud's is selling from France? I figured one of you who bought one might show it off a little (or at least Bud's might)

C this house a round butt. I recommend checking with the manufacturer to see if we could shoot + P ammo out of it. I know it is a used weapon but they have the best answers for you. You don't want to risk injury to yourself or others and don't want to break your firearm. I'm glad I was able to assist you, sir.

I personally cant answer this. But it does say in description "Heavy Barrel". Which majority of times answers the +p and or round types. Hope this helps

I received a 10-6 square butt.Considerable external and holster wear, but tight and good rifling. Was looking for a shooter substitute for my Military & Police (pre-Model 10) Victory and this fits the bill perfectly. Several posts in the S&W Forum claim that S&W Customer Service has said that any model-numbered revolver manufactured from 1957 is "+P safe." I wouldn't feed it a steady diet, but occasional +P rounds and for carry shouldn't hurt it. I wouldn't shoot +P in my 1942 M&P Victory unless I had to, but if I had to....

The one I got is a "square butt" 10-6. Might want to wait & see if you plan on buying replacement grips.

being used guns some of the Buds customer service will not have a lot of info and no real way for them to look it up. yes these are rated for +p but it will increase the wear on the firearm I suggest that you use +p only when needed and standard .38 specials for practice

Ray, the Smith and Wesson K-Frame has always been rated to handle +P ammunition. Several S&W K-Frame 357 Magnum exist. (These were actually used by "Law Enforcement" Ray).

Yes. On top of Barrel. PW ARMS Redmond WA. About 2-3 mm high I would guess. I don’t know why so many people respond who don’t know the answer.

I just received mine and it is a 10-6 which means it was made between 1962 - 1977. Although showing a little wear It is not in bad shape. Barrell is in good shape. It came with black aftermarket grips. Overall I am happy with purchase..

I can tell you this. Judging from the photo alone, they are at least a pre -11 made gun. The -10 was the last model 10 before they went to the internal firing pin and MIM parts. That puts these guns made before 1997. It's safe to assume that they were all bought at the same time period, and are the same - guns. The heavy barrels were introduced in 1959, so until someone starts posting about the - numbers, the best that can be said is they were made after 1958, and before 1997. I suspect they will probably be - 8, 9, or 10.

These used Smith & Wesson revolvers are in good condition overall just showing signs of handling and holster wear. Finish is 60-70%, but they are 100% functional. These were used by a small LE department in France and imported by PW Arms. Some will have the original S&W wood grips, some have aftermarket rubber grips.

Though I bought the revolver used with some holster wear on the bluing. Even then the gun has been straight shooter the entire time. Having shot several hundreds of rounds through it, there has been no question as to its reliability. The gun described was in proper operating condition and has continued to be so. The only detracting fact of the gun was that it came a little dirty and with some rust. However after a thorough cleaning the reliability is excellent, and the gun aesthetically looks better; the bluing really stands out more. It was a mystery as to what model variant I'd receive, but was fortunate enough to receive a model 10-6. In all consideration of the gun regarding price and worth, it is worth at least twice as much as I paid. No regrets with buying this gun.

This has seen better days. This is basically, my beater revolver. Front sight is slightly canted to the right as if it was used as a hammer.

Definitely, not the most attractive handgun in my safe, but a classic, that shows many years of carry and cleaning. Blueing is worn off on many surfaces, with little to no pitting or signs of rust or abuse. Functions well, smooth action and more accurate than my old eyes. Good purchase, satisfied customer.

Picked this pistol up at ffl and took it home and uncovered the Gem it is after just a couple hours of thorough cleaning. Hammer was modified to mk for a less snag chance I'm sure and it also came with the trausch grips whih in my opinion are awesome. The front sight was also sheared off but I put a cheap hi viz sight and it's 100 percent better than original sight so that worked out great. This is now one of my favorite firearms and the bluing was at least 70 percent and is wearing beautifully, these guns are so classic and well built and this is by far one of the best purchases i hV ever made and I HV been through alot of guns. Shoots point of aim and has that classic smooth Smith and Wesson trigger! Thank you buds for having these beauty's for sale AND I put it on layaway!! If you don't HV a buds membership get one, it's worth every penny.
