My first revolver. Other than minor scratches a holster wear, the cylinder is tight with no excessive wear.

Has some wear but overall is a great revolver for the price. I have put over a 1000 rounds through it without an issue.

Purchased two of these Model 64 stainless from Buds at $349 each. Both ended up being 64-7s. As always, stellar service from Buds. Both had some light scratches and signs of wear on them (as described and expected). One was about VG-Exc and the other Good-VG. Both needed a more thorough cleaning upon arrival. The cylinder on the one in Good-VG stuck a bit when trying to swing it out. I took it out, cleaned all the components and reinstalled the ejector rod. That helped a bit (but still slightly more sticky than the other one). Both functioned reliably in DA and SA when shooting. Really no complaints. Good solid used revolver. Fun to shoot.

Good condition 64-7 round butt, that needs a good cleaning.. Few small blems but overall very nice. I'm glad I found these before they were gone. Bring more, Bud's.

Absolutely LOVE this is one sweet-shooting revolver I`m proud to add to my other S&W .38`s. Initially went to FFL and the gun, dirty as it was, could NOT open or close the cylinder! Not common for a quality firearm like a S&W. More than a little disappointed I called the TEAM BUDS hotline from the FFL dealer. The Bud`s Rep(bless her heart!) couldn`t have been nicer nor more accomadating to me. She genuinely empathized w/ my situation and took the FFL E-mail address to fax a ret shipping label, then give me a full 100% refund! What more can one ask for? Its the great TEAM BUDS service really Sets the Bar!! I usually do well w/ any Police trade in S&W M&P or Italian PD Beretta 92F. Didn`t do near as well w/ my most last used gin from buds, a Spanish PD 9mm STAR single stack----read my review on it for more details! So back to this M-64(Stainless Steel version of one of the "Classics" the S&W Mod#10). As I was on the phone w/ this very kind TEAM-BUDS Rep another gun shop employee pointed out the issue. The ejector rod was loose, but can only be tightened by turning counter-clockwise! I thought I was tightening the ejector rod while actually loosening it! Handed it back to me and WA- LAHH! Problem fixed!! Smooth dble action, nice light single action. Cylinder slips right back on frame like butter! SO glad I didn`t give up on this gun. A shout-out also for the "Tatood" Fella(wish I could remember his name!) at A.F_ Boyer Hardware and Guns of Slatington, PA for his keen I gunsmithing knowledge. This gun was cleaned well, and a surprisingly clean barrel--hardly been shot!! Its of the newer design w/o the firing pin on hammer, and the "External Gun Lock key-hole" located just above the cylinder release button. Wish I could call S&W give serial number and buy a key that would---just in case I HAD to temporarily disable. Using my favorite Mod 10/ M-64 .38 spec., factory load, the 158grn lead semi-wadcutter, I can make a tennis ball dance at 40 yrds w/ this gun! A pleasure to shoot, VERY Low/No recoil and super accurate w/ its fixed open sights! With all my hi-tech semi-auto pistols costing big $$, a solid metal old-school Mod#10/ M-64 using Buffalo Bore +P+ heavy loads wouldn`t leave me "undergunned" except as a sidearm for dangerous game(for that have the Glock 10mm, Ruger Super-Alaskin .454Casull or the S&W .460 Mag)of course! Even for home-protection 6 perfectly- placed .38 +P hollowpoints should get the job done! Whether your a collector, shooter or both this gun did NOT disappoint! Buy one before they disappear; then you won`t see them around til they start springing up for $600, $700 or more, used!! Kudos once again to the fantastic Rep I spoke with! If mgnt is reading this review--you should give her a STAR(and maybe a nice Stipend in her next paycheck!) If you`re sitting on the fence--BUY IT!!

My 64-7 arrived 2 days ago. It is mechanically sound and shoots just fine. It has a normal amount of cylinder play ( no more than a new revolver). I would recommend one of these to anyone, however, be prepared to clean it for a good long time. Mine was completely filthy inside and out. The action, barrel and cylinder didn't look like they had ever been cleaned. This is not a complaint, just an observation.

Yep, looks like a used police trade. As described, typical holster wear and small dings. Mine looks like it was carried a lot but not shot much. Excellent mechanical condition and tight lockup. 64-7 with lock. The rubber grips were a bit rough so I replaced them with a set of Hogue grips. A nice used gun. Thanks Bud's!

Received a 64-7 in excellent condition. Tight lock-up. Smooth light DA, and a hair pull SA. I've never had a DA feel this nice. Bright clean bore. This was a steal at this price. Very happy with the purchase. I have not taken it to the range yet, but I suspect it will perform flawlessly.

This wheel gun was all that was advertised and more. The stainless .38 that I received showed to have very little wear as a matter of fact the action was stiff as if it had been used very little I have not taken it to the range as yet but looking forward to it. I purchased this weapon because in my younger day I was a police officer and this was the revolver that I carried it was a fine weapon then and in my opinion still is.

My 64-7 appears to have been shot little to none. Very small amount of scratches and rust. Lock doesn't bother me. Buds excellent as always
