Is this tapered, bull, sporter barrel? How many rounds before it gets hot?

Eve, this rifle has a tapered profile barrel. How hot, how fast depends on your rate of fire. I would guess a reasonable rate should not be an issue but a Bull/Target barrel model may be better for you.

How do the 25 round mags work in it? Is it easy to mount a bipod?

Nikolai, The 25 round magazine fits right in the mag well like the 10 round mag. Bipod will mount directly on sling swivel/bipod mount attachement on bottom of the stock. Nikolai - it is very easy to mount a bipod as it could go right on the swivel stud in the fore arm. Many bipods are available to mount in that manner. As for the 25 round mags, they will work, but the Ruger factory 25 round mags seem to work better than those from third party manufacturers, in general. 10/22 rifles are, in my opinion, one of the best firearms ever developed. And there are literally thousands of aftermarket accessories for them.

all of the 10/22 mags will fit and work just fine you can use the 10 ,15 and 25 round mags along with the 10/22 drum magazines and yes a bipod is easy to attach using the sling mount stud

The large mag works the same. The bipod is easy to attach to the little stud up front.

Amazing Rifle ! would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality range gun. Ive had mine a little over a month and have put close to 1000 rounds through it no malfunctions( shitty ammo too).

Bud’s had a good deal (price) on this gun. I ordered it on Sunday and was shooting it on Friday. Good job Bud’s.
The primary reason I bought the gun was the peep sight with the rail. I shot it first to zero the peep sight. It was right on the money right out of the box. I then mounted a Burris Fast Fire Three on it and zeroed it. I ran 150 rounds of Remington Thunderbolt through it with no failures. I don’t know if it is or will ever be collectible but it is a very good weapon with a backup peep sight.
I like it a lot.

This gun has the same sights as my mini 30. Ruger should advertise/highlight that. Very pleased, with the gun and with Buds
