BERSA THUNDER 380 .380 ACP - Stainless/Silver, 3.5" Barrel, 8+1 Rounds, 3-Dot Sights

I bought the Bersa Thunder a little over a year ago from Bud's and I've ran probably a couple of thousand rounds through it. After a breaking period of a couple hundred rounds, it has used any and all different brands of ammo with absolutely no problems. I love it. very accurate and fun to shoot.

I have purchased both the 22LR and 380ACP versions from Buds Gun shop, great selection good deals and extensive list of FFL dealers ready to receive.
The Bersa brand has been a favorite of mine since I was introduced to it by a friend in Argentina on one of my trips in the 70s, my first American bought Bersa is a Thunder 9 which I purchased in the 80s when they were first brought to the US; I have 3800 rounds through that one and no failures yet!
These new guns do not disappoint either, I have fired 1500 rounds through the 22LR and 780 rounds through the 380 again without failures using all brands and configuration of ammo.
I am happy with the Bersa performance and am considering adding a 45ACP to my collection. By the way I bought the two tone gold for quick visual ID since the 22 is totally black :-)

Both Buds and the Bersa Thunder 380 have earned 5 stars. Buds offers a great selection, helpful staff, reasonable prices, and fast response...I got mine just days after the order. This Bersa Thunder 380 is a great gun. It is the only semi automatic compact gun with a metal frame in its size, type and price range. The heavier, solid feel is comfortable and reassuring. There is none other like it, except the Walther PPK, which it is patterned from. The barrel rifling is deep and precise. It is shoots very well and is easy to handle. It is not a small gun. It is slightly larger than the Ruger EC9s, LC9s, LC380 (3/4" and 4 ounces), but still very carry-able. It is more controllable and pleasant to shoot than my EC9s (which is great gun too), probably due to its smaller caliber and slightly heavier frame. I shot cheap (MAXTECH) and expensive (Sig Sauer Premium) ammo with no problems. Of course, the better ammo is much cleaner, but both performed well for me at CCW distances (only what I have tested so far). I understand it is accurate at long distances; see the Hickok45 review of the Bersa Thunder 380 Carry (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_RWl6L0BnU). Buds was the only place that offers the different colors. I researched other sites and visited the Bersa site (https://bersa.eagleimportsinc.com/), which gives more information and accurate colors. I contacted Bersa and they assured me that the colors shown on their website are reliable, which match what I bought. The gold cerkote wears off where the metal parts slide against metal. I expected this may happen before I bought the gun, so I was not disappointed when it happened. The wear areas are not noticeable until you remove the slide. I don't mind, as it looks great, and works well. Thank you Buds and Bersa.
