It’s very light so putting a hot 3” slug through it was a bad idea! That being said I screwed in a turkey choke and dropped a tom a few weeks later from a touch over 40yards. This is a GREAT lil backpack gun and it’s a lot of fun!

As always, Bud's was Excellent on the purchase, shipping & getting it to my FFL on time. I gave this Midland Backpack 12ga 26" Barrel a 4 star b/c everything about it is as advertise, except the Point Of Aim using 12ga 3" 00 Buckshot with 15 Pellets. At 30 yds, using the front bead sight on a 1" bullseye & a 12" circle around the bullseye, the center of the Buckshot Pattern will hit 19" below the bullseye. So, for the pattern of buckshot to hit all around the bullseye at 30 yds, U have to aim the front sight bead 19" above the 1" bullseye for a perfect buckshot pattern. At 30 yds, 10 to 11 pellets of the (15) 00 buckshot, consistently hit inside of the 12" circle with an Extended Full (.700 constriction) Choke Tube installed in the barrel. This set-up will be devastating to Whitetail Deer & Hogs out to 30 yds. I'm suspecting at 40 yds, I will still get 5 to 6 pellets of 00 buckshot inside the 12" vital circle, which is still amazing. This Midland Backpack 12ga 26" would have received a 5 Star rating if the shotgun's front sight bead would be true to the shot of the 00 buckshot pattern on its point of aim. Now, I will have to figure out how to lower the front bead sight, to raise the point of impact of the 00 buckshot. Hope this helps!!! Deer Man Out
