Excellent rife for a budget 1000yard build! High quality craftsmanship and is very comfortable to shoot. I highly recommend this bolt action rifle to those who want a accurate long range 308. Its worth the $$ and you get the Savage quality you'd expect without the high cost of high end rifles. Very happy with my purchase. I'm using a high end mid scope and find that it gives me good accuracy up to 1000 yards for a 308 caliber. I like the muzzle brake and the barrel is heavy duty. I ordered mine in the earth color. I changed the bolt handle to a bigger one to fit my hand a little better. Makes reloading much smoother. the grip is comfortable for my hand. (Im 6'2") for long periods of use. I'd rate this rifle a 4 out of 5
