A:9mm NATO is loaded to pressures 10% to 15% higher than industry standard pressure for 9mm Luger. This places the ammunition in the “+P” category, which can cause increased wear on firearms. Though this ammunition is safe in most modern firearms, it is not intended for older firearms or ones not made by quality manufacturers. As with any ammunition please ensure proper inspection of your firearm before shooting to ensure the firearm is in good condition and is safe to shoot. I have shot Nato rounds from my clock and all of my Sig Sauer 9 millimeters and they all work just fine. -

A:Michael, "Standard SAAMI" pressure 9mm will shoot just fine in the older Star. The rounds to avoid are the 9mm loads marked +P, +P+. This is an all steel pistol and won't explode with firing an occasional hot round but don't fire a steady diet of them. http://averagejoeshandgunreviews.blogspot.com/2014/02/star-bm-9mm.htmlSee 3 more answers |
