Customer Reviews 11 Customer Reviews Average 4.2 out of 5 Scott E Once again Buds is awesome! This is my first revolver so when I say it is a little on the heavy side, it's probably just me. It is very well built and it is very accurate. 2 years ago Brian H I've had a bit of a love/hate relationship with Taurus products over the years (love the prices/hate their inconsistency) having to send 3 of the six pistols I've owned back for repairs under warranty. This model was no different in keeping that relationship alive. It was purchased as a training tool for first-time shooters (CCW class) and as well as training companion for a Taurus 4 inch Tracker in .44 Mag that I owned (past tense).
The first couple hundred rounds through the .22 were fine, but we noticed that as the revolver got hotter the cylinder started to stick a bit on 2 of the nine chambers. As the round count went up over the next few shooting sessions the problem got worse. After a hundred rounds or so the cylinder would not rotate no matter how hard you pulled the trigger on those 2 chambers. Manually cocking the hammer was out of the question also. So we sent it back to Taurus. The worked on it, sent it back the the problem was solved, but now the cylinder doesn't lock up as tight as I would like to making me wonder if timing problems will develop in the future.
Bottom line: In my experience Taurus pistols and revolvers are hit and miss. I would rather buy a used one that I know works rather than risk buying a new one and have (in my experience) a 50/50 chance of sending it back. Bud's prices are hard to beat so if you're on a budget and willing to take a chance, this one might be for you. 2 years ago Show More Reviews...
