The lever action of the Spencer carbine worked well while using positive full throw of the lever. Shot well and accurately. Beautiful finish on walnut stock. Glossy. Metal finish well done. I recommend this gun. Bud's had the best price.

Fit and finish is exceptional. Function is not. This rifle will not feed rounds or extract fired brass. This is apparently a common issue with Chiappa Spencer rifles per various blogs and YouTube video's that I have reviewed. Plan on feeding singularly through the action and extracting with a wooden dowel.

I purchased a new Italian copy of the Spencer rifle in .45LC from Bud's Gun Shop in Lexington KY. I have no derogatory comments regarding this purchase. Everything went according to plan and on schedule. The gun is as described, has a high level of workmanship, and I am anxious to put a few rounds through it. Thank you BudsGunShop.
