Taurus Gaucho 45 45lc 6rd Blue 5.5

I've read some negative reviews on Taurus products but I have owned a PT-92 for many years that has worked flawlessly and this single action revolver has been 100% dependable, too.

Shot too high and I ended up selling but was very well made and good looking

Picked up my Taurus Gaucho 45 Colt revolve(blued) today from my FFL dealer. The gun itself looks to be in perfect shape(since I haven't shot it yet I can't speak to functionality) but I'm a little upset that there is a LARGE label plastered on the box stating that "This is a reconditioned item" which doesn't carry a cosmetic/workmanship guarantee." It does still carry the Taurus lifetime warranty as to manufacturing defects so that was a large step in the right direction. NOWHERE in Bud's ad for the gun does it mention anything at all about the gun being reconditioned, only that the gun itself was discontinued. As far as I'm concerned, this was pretty shady on Bud's part and I would not have accepted the revolver if it showed any wear or use whatsoever. As it was, there was no evidence of cylinder turning or any usage marks of any type so I did accept it and hopefully it will give a lifetime of good service.

Very good value in a SAA clone. Function and look great! Accurate as necessary for Cowboy Action Shootiing. Can't go wrong at this price!

I received my Gaucho in a timely manner. The fit and finish were fine, good lockup, action/operation functioned fine. Keep in mind these are factory rebuilds. Two frame screw heads had been stripped out , I would have thought the gunsmith at the time of factory rebuild would have replaced these? At 20 yards the pistol shot 4 inches high and 2 inches left. I will probably keep it and work on it a bit in my spare time.

Very nice SAA in 45LC. Bluing excellent, fit and finish better than expected and also excellent. Bud's service was as usual great with order status and prompt delivery to my FFL.

Just received my Taurus Gaucho from Bud's and was very impressed by the fit and finish. I ordered it in 45 Colt with a 5.5 inch barrel and blue finish. I received the Gaucho within three days after placing the order. The revolver had a four click hammer very much typical of the Colt Peacemaker. As to function, the Gaucho is flawless with the best out of the box trigger which I measured at just under three pounds. I fired 20 rounds at ten yards Bullsye Style ( one hand ) and four groups averaged about three inches. I am sure it would have grouped one half that or better off a rest. I rate it as five stars and am considering buying another with a case hardened finish. It is a very good value and comparable to my Ruger Vaquero.
