E.M.F. Company Alchimista II 45 Long Colt Revolver - Blue/Black, 5.5" Barrel, 6 Rounds, Wood Grips

If you are considering a SAA/Peacemaker reproduction, I strongly recommend you spend the extra to upgrade to the Alchimista! The extra length of the 1860 Army style grip transforms the pistol. All of a sudden your pinky finger has a place to go! Go to a local gun shop - or a Bud's location if you're near one! - and try the feel of a standard Peacemaker to the feel of the 1860 Army. [Disregard the difference in loading, it's irrelevant.] Notice the roomy, comfortable, secure hold on the 1860? Makes you wonder why Colt didn't make them this way all along. Combine this with the wide, smooth trigger and the turned down hammer spur on the Alchimista II and you have a sweet shooting revolver. All of this comes with Pietta's crisp action and otherwise fine workmanship. As usual, Bud's shipped the gun fast with their typical excellent service. Wish I could give it an extra star.

The Alchimista II revolver in 45 Colt by Pietta is not only a beautiful revolver but the fit and finish is wonderful. The Army size grips fit my hand better than the navy grips. It shoots a little high and left but well within my capabilities. I had one slight problem with the pin on the hammer being loose but the importer (EMF) fixed that in short order on their nickel. Bud's Gun Shop had the best prices and shipped fast. I highly recommend both Bud's Gun Shop and the PIetta Alchimista II's!
