Gerber Camp Axe w/Steel Blade & Sheath

About halfway between a hatchet and an axe, this Gerber is just right for light jobs around the camp or your property. The nylon handle provides good grip and feels sturdy. The head is hefty, secure in the handle and has a good edge. One thing to pass on is that the item I received did not come with the ballistic nylon sheath advertised. The blade is protected by a nylon frame with a carrying handle at the top of it, and it locks in place with a small cam. It looks like something intended for displaying the axe at the store. It does a good job of protecting you and the blade and will make it easy to hang the axe in the shop, but is somewhat bulky. All in all though, I'm very satisfied with the product, the price, and as always the quality of Bud's service.
