SIG 522 .22 LR SEMI RFL HB - Blue/Black, Synthetic, Folding Stock

Barrels had some scratches and bing a NEW weapon that seemed odd. Also, it came with two barrels and to have the extended-heavy barrel placed on , in place of the carbine barrel required the weapon to be sent to Sig for the trade out. I was unable and so was a gunsmith with a vise and heating it, could get the lug to loosen.

I was looking for this combo package for a long time. I signed up for the wish list as to when this will be available and I did receive the notice. As soon as I was notified I ordered it immediately. What can I say I got a great deal and a rifle that I enjoy.

The SIg 522 Combo is a wonderful combination at this price. It may take a little work to get it in the groove, but you can't beat the value of this rifle. A couple of things to talk about. The receiver is aluminum, while the lower is polymer. The trigger pull is about 5 pounds, and long, but the trigger breaks like glass. If the pull weight was less, I might be able to feel something else, but for this type of rifle, it's a good trigger. The rifle does not come with either rails or sights, both of which are available as options from Sig Sauer. The flash suppressor is removable and has standard threads for other suppressor or silencers. The 20" barrel is not threaded. The magazine that comes with this may need a little clean up on the follower, but is easily disassembled to facilitate that clean up. Others have reported that the buttstock was loose, but I have no problems with mine. If you are looking for a Tactical Rimfire, you need to take a serious look at this rifle. It will do double duty with both barrels, and is comfortable. If you prefer a quad rail, there are options available to fit a quad rail to this rifle, and it fits well with no problem. The rifle is probably overbuilt for what it is, but that's part of what I consider the value of this rifle. Some parts are interchangeable with the Sig 556. This is the real deal.
