Savage 111 Trophy Hunter XP Left Hand .30-06 Springfield Bolt Action Rifle - Blue/Black, 22" Barrel, 4+1 Rounds, Synthetic, Fixed Stock

The rifle was received with in days of placing my order and after inspection and cleaning, it was off to the range. I decided not to have it bore scoped and with in 5 rounds at 25 yards had it zero'ed in. Three more rounds at 100 yards and it was dead on. The scope is much better that the one on my other hunting rifle which I paid over $350 just for the scope. I will be carrying the Savage 111 TH XP 30-06 in October while Elk hunting in Colorado and looking to put it to a good field test as I hunt public land in the back country.

Very nice gun!!! Shoots really good, but haven't shot a deer with it yet, because I went and got me a Mossberg 300 and shot my last deer with that. MAYBE I'll try the Savage this year just to see how it does. Still love it as a rifle to own!!!

What more can I say other than wow. Prompt shipping, great price, and a lifetime warranty for a few bucks extra. Only slight problem was it says the package is bore sighted from factory, but it was off quite a bit. But that could have easily happened during shipping. But with a bore sighting, within 6 shots it was shooting 1/2" groups at 100 yards. Great rifle and would highly recommend as a all around great hunting rifle .

Great gun other than the fact that I'm having trouble getting the magazine out after seating it in place. I didn't notice this when I picked it up at my FFL, just made sure it was in the box. I guess I've learned a valuable lesson. I'll see what Savage has to say about it, maybe it's an easy fix. Bud's was great, as always. Just be prepared to check everything when you pick up your shipment, including magazines!

Very happy with this rifle, just like previous reviews it does come very greasy which is to be expected. I was surprised by the recoil, I was expecting it to have quite a bit of recoil which it was not bad at all shooting 150gr Hornady rounds very manageable recoil in 30-06. My only complaint was it advertises the scope is factory mounted and bore sighted when I received my rifle I had to go through and tighten up all the scope screws and the scope was not on the rail straight it was crooked. So that will tell you I had to start from scratch sighting it in at 100 yards. Other than that minor set back very pleased with this rifle. Very smooth bolt action and trigger pull. Shipping was fast enough took about 1 week to get to my FFL.

Great rifle!! I can’t describe it any other way. When I took it out to the range for the first time to zero the scope at 100 yards my first three round grouping was not only less than an inch, but the holes were touching each other. I’m a regular guy, not a sniper but this thing helped me look like I could shoot like one. I can’t recommend this rifle highly enough.

Received my Savage rifle in good order and in a relatively timely manner. Have shot 1 box of shells through it and am pleased with performance thus far. Bud's was easy to deal with and delivered according to their promises. Will definitely consider Bud's for future purchases
