Para Ordnance Elite Stainless 8+1 45ACP 5" - Stainless/Silver, 5" Barrel, 8+1 Rounds, Wood Grips, Night Sights

I am sending this pistol back to Para for the second time. First time out had a few failure to feeds and some failure to ejects after two or three magazines. After a good cleaning and oiling, I took it out to the range again and had failure to fire, failure to feed and failure to eject. Contacted Para and sent it in for warranty service. I got it back with a note that they polished the ramp. Tried it again, first two magazines, I started having all sort and manor of failure to ejects. At this point I have maybe 200 rounds through it. I contacted Para, they are having me send it to a different service center. When I get it back I am selling the pistol. It is a piece of junk. This pistol belies Para's good reputation at least until Remington bought them. I will never own another Para.

This is one absolutely beautiful weapon. I was very impressed when I first held it, it felt like a natural extension of my hand. The design & weight of the weapon is very impressive and you could very well mistake it for a $1,000 pistol. The grips are much better than I thought, not cheap plastic which is what I expected. I cannot wait to run some rounds through it. The tolerances are tight and you can tell that Para knows what it's doing when it comes to production 1911's. Buy this gun if you don't want to spend $1,000 but want to own one of the world's finest 1911's. I will post more once I throw some lead with it.

Overall it is a nice gun. The sights are top notch, the grips are alright, and the price wasn't too bad. The only thing I would say I wish was better is slide to frame fit that is pretty loose otherwise it's a nice gun.

Great pistol,Para is definitely one of the best production 1911s on the market now. Beautiful to look at and very accurate right out of the box.The fiber optic front sight is tiny, but stands out like a headlight in the daylight. Bud's saved me over $200 from my local gunstore's price, and shipped within 7 days of ordering even though the weather at Bud's location prevented some employees getting to work for a couple of days. I've bought from Bud's several times in the past and will sure use them again..I own four other quality 1911 handguns and this Para Elite stainless is the best !!
