I purchased the 9mm R1 Enhanced Model. It is proving reliable and accurate. On my initial range session, I ran Federal Brass 119gr fmj, Browning 115gr fmj and some MAGTECH 147Gr Subsonic Jhp. It shot all without incident. I was able to hit targets at ranges from 7-50 yards. accuracy was great. Trigger pull hovers in the low 4lb range as measured on my Lyman Scale. I have done a lot of work from a kydex holster with this pistol There are already some scratches. I anticipate this wear will continue. The grips are rather sharp but, did not abrade any skin. Overall, I am very happy with the Remington R1 Enhanced. Buds personnel were very helpful throughout the process and kept me in the loop the whole time.

I have had this gun for about 2 1/2 years. I have a few thousand rounds through it. Out of the box I had to adjust the rear sight and every 4 or 5 matches I have to lower them. At first I was having extraction issues, I replaced the factory extractor with a Wilson Combat extractor and have had no issues since. I use is for ESP in IDPA and Single Stack minor in USPSA, I am happy with the way it functions and it's accuracy.

Thank you to Bud's Guns for making another firearm purchase simple and hassle-free. I purchased this as my first-ever Remington Arms handgun. The R1 Enhanced 9mm is very well made and the fit and finish are very good. Even though the R1 pistols have the firing pin block (some like to refer to this a "series 80"), the trigger is excellent right out of the box. I did experience inconsistent extractions at the range and quickly determined that the extractor had very little tension from the factory. I contacted Remington and they offered to have the pistol returned for service. With a bit of guidance from the Remington representative, I elected to try to adjust the extractor myself. It was a pretty easy adjustment to make and I haven't had any further issues of any kind. Great purchase!

Just fired the pistol for the first time last weekend and I must say it exceeded my expectations. It's a little heavier than the polymer ones but the recoil is nice and spot on with the target. No doubt the quality is there keeping with Remington's reputation. I'm sure the 45 caliber version will be in a future purchase. Highly recommend it, well worth the money.

Have mixed feeling about this 1911. Looks very nice but it seems to me that it is cheaply made compared to same caliber Sprinfield or even Rock Island (FS) that are in the same price range. Rounds would nose dive in the mag, and when loading a barney round the following one will drop from the mag. However it was a quick fix with an EGW extended mag release. Beside that it shoots straight. Never use Kydex holster as I am having holster wear already after only one match.

This was my first purchase from Bud's and it will not be my last. Service has been exceptional. This is also my first 1911. I have been looking at them for a long while and shot a few, mostly .45 ACP. I am thrilled with my decision to buy the R1 in 9mm. I took it to the range this weekend and was very pleased. I highly recommend this handgun and Bud's.
