Is the frame steel or alloy ?

Frame material is "Steel". Steel frame with a blued finish and 1-piece cocobolo grips.

the centerfire rough rider guns are a steel frame most of the 22lr rough riders are alloy but some of them are steel this gun being a centerfire .357 mag is steel

I cant find a picture anywhere of this exact gun model. Including the whole of Google. Every description that Heritage puts out everywhere says "one piece cocobolo real wood grips". But I can't find anywhere that shows the exact shape and color scheme or pattern of the wood on this model that I want to buy. Can somebody please show me a picture of what I will get if I order this exact model number?A picture of this actual pistol would be amazing. Also, are the big bores micro threaded too?

Your best bet would be to find a local gun shop that carries Heritage firearms and see what they look like in person. Wood patterns will be different on individual grips.

Is this the 4.75 inch version? The description and model number say it is, but the model pictured is the 5.5 inch version. Which is being sold?

Blair, this UPC code is the 4.75" Barrel version. Buds is using the incorrect stock photo.

Most pictures on Buds' items are stock/generic images that don't always accurately reflect the product. The specifications should be more accurate than the picture. So I would say yes, this is the 4.75".

To the person who gave the smart a$$ answer to a question I asked about the grips on a revolver. First off, let me start by telling you I have an EXTENSIVE background with firearms in general. Specifically though, I have not had many first hand encounters with single action revolvers as I have grown up in a tactical era. So when I ask for the difference in the mounting of a one piece vs a two piece grip, you telling me "it mounts" is not very helpful. So, go back to your airsoft game.

Daniel, sorry about your bad experience. I don't own any big-bore Heritages but I do own several rim-fire ones and have changed out some of their two-piece grips. Hope that helps.

I am confused with the LC designation for 357 mag caliber. I have have seen 45 LC. Is 357 LC same as 357 mag? Thanks, David

This is a .357 magnum. No long colt.

357magnum, look up the UPC when it doubt for confirmation. It is a 357mag

love it .. this one has been accurate with every different bullet weight i have put through it .Transfer is on par with ruger so you can load all six and carry safely . was a little stiff until i ran a few rounds through it but its smoothed up nicely ..does have a slight gap between the grip frame and grip below the hammer swapped out for stag like grips but same gap but its so accurate i can live wit it/

Great little Guns for the price, Buds gun shop did a great job, checking out was fast and easy order got here within 3 days. the only complaint is the ejector tube screw was missing but that was no big deal.

This handgun is nothing less than amazing. Shoots both cheap .38 rounds and expensive .357. I got an awesome 80.00 rig on Amazon and it is perfect. The gun loads, shoots, disassembles flawlessly.

ordered this item on Wednesday 8-30 and it was at my ffl on Friday 9-1, great service by Budds. Gun arrive is good condition with a generous coating of oil. Cleaning was prudent before taking to the range. Shot it on Tuesday 9-5, put 100 rounds of Winchester white box 38 special through it without any problems. I had two buddies try it out and they could not believe the quality of the weapon at the price that was listed. Good shooting gun and quite accurate.

Another fun gun to shoot from Bud's. As usual, a quick receipt of my purchase to my FFL dealer. This gun has show that it is very accurate using the set sights on the gun. Really a fun and affordable cowboy gun to shoot.
