The Colt XSE Series features everything that top shooters demand in a pistol. The foundation for these pistols is a forged receiver, a forged steel slide, a forged stainless steel barrel and a forged steel slide stop. Front and rear slide serrations come standard along with Novak sights. The Colt Upswept Beavertail Grip Safety with Palm Swell and enhanced cut under the trigger guard allow for a secure hold on the pistol. The Colt Tactical Ambidextrous Safety Lock allows for either right or left handed operation. The addition of a one piece, full length guide rod rounds out a pistol suited perfectly for the shooting enthusiast or the personal defense user alike.

When I placed order I was told that could take up to 7 days before being shipped. True to their word it did. I placed the order through the phone and the Buds team member was very nice and made the buying process easy. I received my Colt 9mm and was very impressed with the fit and finish of the pistol. I have put around 200 rounds through it and have had no issues with the pistol preforming to my expectations. If you are interested in this jump on it before its to late its an excellent buy. Thank You Buds.

I'm a Commander fanboy to begin with, but this one is my favorite. Out of the box, fit and finish was beautiful, and even my FFL transfer dealer was impressed, and he's not a fan of 1911's to begin with. This lightweight Commander is perfectly suited for 9mm and handled any ammo I put through it. The lighter weight of this Commander feels very comfortable in my Milt Sparks VMII IWB holster, and along with Tripp 10-round mags, it is a perfect carry piece with 11 rounds onboard. With Colt now having discontinued the XSE Series, I should have bought a second one as a spare. The combination of it's Commander size, it's XSE options, it's lightweight frame for ease of carry along with it's stainless slide for resistance to corrosion, and especially being 9mm, I personally believe this to be the perfect carry weapon for anyone who favors the 1911 design.
