I have not had the chance to shoot this handgun yet because of the weather. I have however made some enhancements to it. Love the way it looks, and feels in my hand. Balance is excellent.

Have had and have many S and W firearms, sold this one and would not buy again. Was accurate but fell apart. Love S and W's.

The SW22 Victory with its bull barrel is a bit heavier than some of its competitors, but the weight is well distributed, and it feels good in your hand. I like the grip angle and the texture of the polymer grips. That big fat green glowing front sight is awesome, and you'll have no problem picking it up in just about any light conditions. The trigger is very crisp and light, and as a dedicated 1911 fan boy, I would compare it favorably to some of the triggers on my better 1911s, which is high praise, indeed. As a lefthander, I find the controls (safety, slide stop, and magazine release) somewhat awkward, but since this is a range pistol as opposed to a carry pistol, it's not that big a deal to me. Knowing how finicky some .22LRs are as to the ammo they like, I tried 8 different kinds from 5 different brands -- Browning, CCI, Norma, Remington, and Winchester -- lead round nose, plated round nose, plated hollow point, 32 to 40 grain -- and it digested them all without a problem. Accuracy was good -- it shot maybe two inches high out of the box, but rear sight adjustment was a piece of cake with a small screwdriver. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought the threaded barrel version, but I definitely consider this pistol to be a keeper and recommend it to you if you're in the market for a .22LR.

Excellent 22 shooter! I have had the "Victory" for a few years and have had lots of fun and practice. A good firearm for a beginner or just an old plinker like me. A nice gun to add to your collection. Easy to shoot, clean and afford. It's a winner!

Very accurate gun but jams way too often (every few rounds). Sending back to S&W when you live in NY state is such a pain (& costly to go thru FFL) that I looked online to try to fix myself. Have improved but still jams about once every 10 rounds. If didn't jam I would give 5 stars as most accurate 22 I've ever shot.

This one is tough. I love my Ruger Mark IV, so naturally I was going to compare. Out of the box it was crushing almost every shell. Long story short, the ejector was off a bit. As I made small movements ( it is tack welded to the bolt set ) it improved until you could run full mags. It is a very accurate gun, and as a target 22lr it is fun to shoot. For build quality I would still give the edge to my Mark IV. Personal choice. I am keeping them both.

The Victory is S&W - need I say more? Easy to mount a red dot with the provided picatinny mount. Over a thousand rounds in steel challenge without a hitch.

A:Rimfire. .22LR is a rimfire cartridge. The easiest way to tell is to google the type of cartridge it shoots, and wiki will explicitly tell you whether its a rimfire or centerfire. I hope this helps.See 3 more answers | -

A:No 22Mag is larger than a . 22 LR. You are going to get a burst case if you get it to shoot and a jam if you don't. The only guns you can fire both in are revolvers that you change the cylinder or a single shot where you change the entire barrel/chamber assembly. Some .22 mags can fire 22LR (though its not recommended) but the reverse is not true the .22 mag has a larger diameter and a longer lenght.See 1 more answer |

A:Tim, this one has Adjustable Fiber Optic front and rear sights and a standard "Match Grade barrel. The $356 Model has Adjustable front and rear Target Sights and a "Bull" Target Barrel. Other than these feature differences, the stock level of each can also play difference in price as Buds firearm prices are tied to stock level.See 1 more answer | -
