The classically styled Mossberg Patriot looks great on the gun rack and feels great when shouldered. Attractive, accurate and affordable, this bolt-action rifle comes standard with Mossberg's patented LBA trigger, user adjustable from 2 to 7 lbs, and Weaver-style bases. It has a spiral fluted bolt with a knurl pattern to ensure smooth, comfortable and reliable cycling. The 22" fluted barrel is matte blued and has a recessed crown to ensure accuracy and durability. It comes with a drop box magazine for convenient loading and unloading. This Patriot model has a black synthetic stock and features a 3-9x40mm Vortex Crossfire II scope. With long eye relief, a fast-focus eyepiece, fully multi-coated lenses and resettable MOA turrets, there's no compromising on the Vortex Crossfire II. Clear, tough, and bright, the hard anodized single-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube is nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed for waterproof/fogproof performance. The Dead-Hold BDC Reticle's customized hashmark design helps eliminate guesswork on holdover and windage corrections.

Very happy with this rifle. My first deer gun, and finally shot a deer with it last year. Funny thing, I didn't push the bolt firmly to the down position, and as a result had a misfire. I was able to cycle the next round and make the shot. So, all's good. It was user error. I went to the range the day after my .308 Patriot arrived and after sighting it in, it is a very comfortable, well balanced and smooth operating tac driver ..... Wild hogs, look out !

Removed the scope and mounts immediately and used loc-tite and re bore sighted. Fit and finish is decent, the bolt was average in the beginning, smoothed out quite a bit after 150 or so rounds. The Vortex scope is just really good glass, that was the reason I picked this combo. The recoil is greater than a 308 with a better stock would be, but it's plastic so it's to be expected. The trigger broke around 3.5 lbs on my gauge from the factory. Best groups with soft points was 1.5" @ 100 yards, acceptable. Hornady SST was just under an inch. As always Buds was outstanding to deal with.

FANTASTIC, RECEIVED IT QUICKER THAN I THAN EXPECTED, TOOK ABOUT 8 DAYS, BEING WHERE I'M AT, TOOK IT OUT TO THE RANGE THE NEXT DAY AND IT PREFORMED GREAT, VORTEX SCOPE WAS PERFECT OUT OF THE BOX. GREAT RECOMMEND FOR THE PRICE.
