I purchased this for an every day carry. The firearms is fun to shoot and accurate , however the laser is not for me .It was a little harder to carry so I switched to a 2.0 without the laser . I higthly reccomend either one , it just depends if you want the laser option.

Thank you Buds Gun Shop! Great pistol out of the box, shoots well with zero issues under 200 rounds. The Shield popularity is well deserved. Decent trigger, guard is cut back some to allow for fitment and grip. sights are 3 dot white (adequate). Integrated CT laser no issues prefer something more easily adjustable (hate that tiny Allen) but for the size and how slim the entire package is makes up for that. Trigger safety and slide safety is ok together. The EDC kit is nice with the extra mags, the flashlight is bright and functional, the pocket knife isn't top of the line but for a daily its just fine. All in all the total package is a good deal especially if you can find it on sale.

Amazing product at a great price. I have not had the opportunity to shoot this gun, as it’s a backup to my M&P9 full size. However, it handles well in drills, and is easily carried and concealed. The laser is an amazing add on for a small price difference, and the flashlight and knife in this “EDC kit” make great backups to my every day go-to everyday carries as a first responder.

Early impressions of the Smith and Wesson M&P 9 Shield M2.0, with the integral Crimson Trace laser are excellent. It would be wonderful if the weapon came with two 8-round magazines instead of an eight and a seven, since the eight-round mag fills my hand much more comfortably. But the gun is a beautiful size: not too big to be concealed, and not so small as to lead me to worry about how effective it will be; yet, unloaded, it barely weighs a pound! I’ve only had it a week, and just taken it to the range once, but there’s been no problem with feeding, and the Crimson Trace is nicely sighted, right out of the box. I’ve only put a few mags through it, but at this point i would give it six stars out of five except for two things: the manual thumb safety it was so stiff that at first I thought that either the safety wouldn’t engage unless a round was chambered, or the gun was defective! The safety is still very stiff, but I guess that’s not a bad thing! At least there will be no question that it’s engaged! The other aspect that I’m still scratching my head about is that there is a surprising amount of slack in the trigger! On the whole, though, easily 4.5 stars out of 5! And the ”everyday carry kit,” including a zippered soft case, a 2 1/2” locking-blade knife and a three-function flashlight, is a nice bonus! I’m very satisfied!

has it all. Haven't used the flashlight or knife much but the
combo's price was something I could pass up.

I am happy with the gun the laser is a little awkward to turn on. I turn it on with my off hand thumb.

First purchase from Buds. Couldn't be more pleased. Purchased the M&P 9mm Shield M2.0 with the CT laser. Smooth pickup from my FFL. Took it out to the range today and rana box of shells through it with no issues whatsoever. Need to zero in the Laser a bit but the 9mm worked flawlessly. Happy with Buds and the price. Local dealer wanted over $120 more than Buds so it was a no-brainer. First of many purchases.

S&W Shield is as expected - a sensible weapon at a reasonable price. Trigger pull is firm and consistent. The slide took numerous practice "racking" as well as shooting 7-10 full clips before it loosened up to the "norm". Sights were dialed-in from the factory - the LASER sight was however not. Once zeroed, LASER sight continued to drift downward from point of aim (after firing several clips. It proved to be very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. The Shield is very comfortable to wear IWB both while driving and in seated position. Buds personnel were easy to competent and product knowledgeable throughout my purchase. I have and will continue to used Buds for future purchases.

Great gun, shoots well. Laser was close to zero on first shots. Slight adjustments needed. Came with everything as advertised and at a great price.

Great product, great gun specially for this price, I would totally recommend it. World class engineering - except for the CT red laser. The right-side button for the laser is impossible to activate with right trigger finger. Need to grasp gun with both hands and jab at the button with a fingernail to get it to activate. Left button works flawlessly and easily with a finger touch. If I was left handed I might (or might not) be okay with this. But I'm not. Now I have to fool around getting the laser fixed. Otherwise, nice S&W gun, of course.

Who would have thought they could improve on the original shield!

I was down to the Shield 2.0 9mm or a Glock 43. The S&W Shield won out at the range for fit, feel and accuracy. The details of construction also won for the Shield. (steel versus plastic sights / steel versus plastic mags / 3 dot sights versus U plus dot arrangement / better trigger / better overall polymer quality / higher capacity mags). And with Crimson Trace Red Laser included, plus quality pocket knife, tactical pocket/lapel flashlight, and carry case for all of it - for $328 after Rebate - buy it! A Glock 43 with Crimson Trace would cost about $625. I bought the Shield on it's merits of comparison - but was happy to come in about 50% less cost than the Glock.
