The absolute single-most satisfying firearm purchase that I have made in a long time! I let go of an WWII era M1 Carbine a few years ago and lived to regret it. I have another, but wanted a shooter. After comparing the Auto Ordnance to the Inland, I went with the A-O because of price mainly. The few things that I discovered after-the-fact that I thought would bother me, in-fact, do not. I do not care that there is no bayonet lug. The "originals" didn't have them and they were added later. I'm not trying to re-enact or go soldier with this rifle. I carry a knife on my belt. The side-to-side safety that people say can be easily mistaken for the magazine release is not a concern for me either. It's a very positive safety and is very crisp. I you want the safety on or off, press it. If you want to release the magazine, press the magazine release. Know your equipment, stay practiced, stay calm, stay safe. Think and do... The wood is beautiful. The fit and feel of this piece is remarkable. I will wait until I get it out to the range for my final thoughts. My hopes are, that the "L" rear sights are satisfactorily set for elevation. The windage settings must be accomplished with a brass drift or rear-sight tool. Not a problem. I ordered the adjustable rear sight from A-O just in case I decide to switch them out. I do not intend to file down the front post for elevation adjustments, but again, I will see how close things are at 50 and 100 yards. The packaging for the M1 Carbine from Auto Ordnance is impressive. I'd rather they ship a sling or second magazine with the piece instead of investing in high-end padding inside of a box that is going to most often than not, end up a landfill.

So far, so good. This is a quality built rifle. For those that might not know, Auto-Ordnance is part of Kahr Arms. Buds was awesome as always! Order was completed & delivered in 4 days.

I love this little rifle, when it fires. Problem is, right now it is an unsafe weapon. Took it to the range, had problems from the get/go. Had a gunsmith with me there who said the gun is unsafe. The extractor is not engaging a chambered cartridge. The bolt is not going into battery, but the hammer will drop on an unlocked bolt. I have had the rifle for about a month, so I am going to call Kahr in the morning tp get them to fix it, the gunsmith, a veteran, said if they will not help me to give him their number and he will talk to them directly. I really like him!

So this was my first time buying a gun online and I have to say buying this gun from buds was totally worth it. I've researched for a few years now about buying an M1 Carbine new and I had always been a bit skeptical about it. I've read tons of good reviews of this gun and bad ones, including tons of youtube review videos. I decided to just bite the bullet and I bought this gun like 3 weeks ago and got it last Friday it came in perfect condition, box was a little beat up I'm sure from FedEx but gun was good. I took it to the range yesterday and and she worked like a charm, straight out of the box, no oil added or nothing. I did have 3 jams on the first two magazines I fired (only used the 15 round factory mag that came with it) but after that the m1 carbine worked flawlessly. I went through a 100 rounds. Accuracy I'm not sure yet the sights are flip sights, which I kinda don't like. I'll probably just buy the ones that dial in you can find them on amazon and I'll just take it to a gunsmith and have them install it for me. I was at an indoor range and it was a bit dark so I couldn't really test the accuracy out, Ill be doing that in a couple weeks at an outdoor range. Honestly if you've been a skeptic like me about buying the Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine you've got nothing to worry about, I am super happy with mine and with budsgunshop on the purchase I'll be buying from y'all again for sure.

I am a avid collector of period guns , I have a all matching m1 30 cal and my son loved shooting it so I decided to try a less expensive one. Their are a few brands and I have been a fan of auto ordance for along time now. They use to their headquarters in upstate ny which I would pass and shop in on the way to my family%u2019s cabin in the Catskills. So I know kahr is now auto ord. This gun works with any magazine from orig 30 cal to new ones. It even works with the m1 mags with the lock back Bolt option flawlessly. It holds a great zero and ammo is cheap. It%u2019s a great gun. Doesn%u2019t really have hunting uses. My dad when he uses my airboat in New Orleans he brings his air ordance m1 with him. For the low price it so worth the money and it is period correct . I have just ordered the paratroopers model to have for my collection.if your going to buy a 30%u2019cal don%u2019t buy other brands like chippa or less expensive for this price you know it%u2019s really a auto ordance (kahr) and your getting a great gun. On a side note if you plan to put a sling on it make sure you buy the sling with Oiler without the Oiler you can%u2019t attach the sling. And make sure maybe you use some gaffers tape or I took the time and Coates the metal snap on the sling with rubber paint it keeps the wood from getting scratched and looks great in black (the sling clips)
