I am a Marine Corps vet and disabled in my right hand, arm and shoulder and so must hunt with a semi auto. Liked the Benelli. This was a terrible decision, and I regret ever buying this rifle. First off, the assembly is a nightmare, you have to assemble it new out of the box. The instructions left out mention of some parts, and ignored parts that were there. No US instructions, but 6 European flags on the booklet--gee, wonder how many semi auto rifles they sell in Europe??? Not to mention the millions the US taxpayers have paid Benelli for military firearms. Benelli customer service just sent me a lame YouTube video which did not help and I have already reviewed, then they would not respond to further questions--acted like annoyed jerks, but then, they already had my money. I'm supposed to be happy about dropping a grand on a rifle that no one I know can put together? After a few weeks, I finally got it on my own. Magazines--this is a .300 Win Mag and the magazines only hold three rounds and cost just shy of $100 each! No high cap magazines out there--so much for hunting hogs! They have the holes for quick detach sling swivels, but you have to buy your own inserts. And nearly everyone I know thinks about a muzzle brake, would it hurt for them to at least offer a threaded barrel? I would have been happy to pay for that. So it's off to a gunsmith now, I've had it for a few months and have only shot it one time at the range. Bottom line? I am not at all happy, and this is certainly more headaches than I ever imagined. Barely existent customer service, atrocious instructions, poor design and lots of money just ot get it up to speed. Beware what you are getting in for before you buy this!

I love this gun. This is a .300 win mag that recoils way less than my Mossberg .270 bolt action. Perfect for hunting anything in North America. I shot several different Hornady loads through it on a 19 degree day without lubing first and had no failure of any kind. Ergonomics are awesome, recoil is non existent, it looks beautiful. It is accurate. Very cool gun, recoils a less than than a Browning BAR. I put a Leupold VX-2 3-9 on it which seems to pair nicely. The only gripe I might have is reaching over the gun with your left hand to activate the bolt release with your right hand in order to chamber a round but this is a hunting rifle not a combat rifle. I also wish they had they 10 rounds mags for the .300 like the do with the 30 06. My dad also shot the rifle and was equally impressed. Buds took my money and shipped it so I guess they did their job. OHHH and weight, weight is good! The gun is not that heavy at all, about 7.3 pounds. Hiked around with it in the woods no problem. I love this gun. Highly recommend if you are recoil sensitive but need an accurate, seemingly reliable rifle.

Well Buds came through on the processing and shipping in record time and as usual their price was the best out there online or in the stores, this is my first Benelli and its mighty fine IMO its like the Ferrari of semi auto rifles it handles great and it rides the recoil like no other I fired off 4 rounds as fast as I could sight the target and pull the trigger at a 100yrds in less than 1”MOA or a 4rds group within a 1 inch circle I am using a bench rest on a table and I kneel on one knee but manage to keep real still, I shot for a few hours trying 6 different types or ammo and 3 different brand names so far Hornady 165gr interbond work the best or held the best group of 4 I used 4 shot groups because the R1 in .300wm only has a 3 rds mag so 1 in the tube and 3 in the mag I did buy an extra magazine for it. I think it will do just fine for some Hog killin in south Texas this winter.
