No FTF or FTE. Very stiff recoil spring. Would be difficult for a woman to rack. Workmanship a little rough.

I have both the .45 and 9mm of this 1911 platform. Solid pistols. I have put 1000 round through both. No real problems. A couple F2F but I use cheaper factory 2nd ammo. When I shoot the expensive rounds it's very smooth, no issues. It's heavy but I like that. For this price point I honestly don't think it gets any better.

Oustanding 1911-Tisas 1911-A1 This is an outstanding 1911 even for more money, so it's a great bargain for the price. I put a set of Pachmayr grips on it right out of the box(just because I like those grips on all my 1911's), but no other modifications. It shot flawlessly right from the start. Sub 2inch groups at 20 yards right out of the box. I've put hundreds of rounds through this gun and have not had a single malfunction. Use good quality ammo. Cheap ammo gives you what you paid for. The fit, finish and quality are much better than I expected for an inexpensive foreign made handgun. I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent 1911!

I am a huge 1911 fan and for my money I like to get the best bang for my buck. I like inexpensive products that work or even surpass their more expensive counter parts. That's what the Tisas 1911's do. They surpass most if not all other 1911's in their price range. The fit and finish is great, the quality of parts they use are great. They shoot great and they are easy to customize. I would give Tisas a 6 star rating if I could, they are just that good. Once again Buds came through with a great product at a great price and as always great service.

The gun has so far been flawless. Perfect operation every time If used it. It's balanced well, the fit and finish are GREAT, and it's accurate right out of the box. I also have the .45 of this model, but haven't fired it yet. Im expecting NOTHING less than what I got with the 9mm. A great value at a great price. You can't go wrong with this pistol.

This pistol was bought specifically to shoot steel case Russian ammo. We were experiencing 8% failure to fire with striker fired guns of every manufacture. Glocks were the worst but all the others had the same problem. We tried a BHP and behold, NO probs. That hammer was whacking those deep seated hard primers with authority and all went BANG! Saw this bought it for $375 delivered. I like the finish on this pistol it will not make finger prints and cleans right off. The trigger was off my scale at above 12 pounds. I fixed all the small thing I needed to after I shot 500 rounds through it to make sure it was going to function. From the first shot til today ther has never been 1 FTL, FTF, FTE or eject. AND no failure to fire. We have a lot of men shooting on this range and shooting a lot of different ammo, this cheap blaster just keeps on going. Anyway, that's what happened here. Just as a side note, we had a Kimber stainless Target in 9mm that COULD NOT BE MADE to work. We spent as much on Wilson and other assorted mags trying to get it to work that we could have paid for this little Tisas. It's your money, spend it the way you want but these things WORK!!

Just picked up my Tisas and headed straight to the range. I put 45 rounds through it and only had one FTL. It could be the mag as some have said. As far as the sights, can't really tell without locking the gun down but I had a pretty decent pattern and feel confident that should the need arise to defend myself that the gun will perform well. The gun feels tight and looks great. Happy purchase! As usual, Buds got the gun to me quick. I already have my next order on layaway.

Another great purchase from Buds, This pistol was perfect right out of the box, Paid for it on Friday, and received it on Wednesday. I always buy from Buds, never been let down.

Fired close to 200 rounds the day after I purchased this fine piece of steel without any problems whatsoever. Buds is fantastic! I picked up the 1911 in the store and the folks there were great to work with. To all the naysayers out there - when I pull the trigger the weapon goes boom! What more can you ask for? This thing was accurate right out of the box - a little right of center and a tiny bit low at 25 yards. If you are looking for a quality 1911, the old GI style, don't hesitate to make this purchase. I would put this gun on par with any other 1911, say what you want, but this weapon is durable and made to last. The action is like butter and I love that it comes in 9mm. Thanks Buds! I'll be back for more....

This is my first 9mm 1911. I have owned Kimbers, Paras, and Remington 1911's. I am very satisfied with this weapon. The price is great. The service from buds was very easy. The reviews on the FFL's helped me save a lot of money. I fired 150 rounds on it's first range outing. The magazine failed to lock the slide to the rear 5 times. This is no fault of the gun. The magazine, only one included, is the issue. This weapon shot standard 115 and 147 grain fmj rounds and about 20 124 grain JHP's well. I had no failures to feed or fire. The sights are on with my weapon. Some of the reviews stated that the sights were way off. I did not experience this. One review stated that the slide lock is hard to release. It is hard to release, but I question the reviewers understanding of the use of the slide lock. It is not a slide release. The magazine release does take more effort than more expensive 1911's to press. Little complaints like these have merit with a $800.00 1911's, but for a $350 - $400 this gun works great. If you want a simple GI style 1911 that works, buy this. If you want a Tacticool super accurate competition 9mm 1911, buy something that cost at least twice what this one does. Just so you fine gun purchasers know that I am not paid by Tisas or Buds, I will say that including only one magazine is a lousy move on a new gun. Also, the magazine is sub par. Be fully prepared to purchase a quality magazine after your first range visit.

Tony has overrated this gun just to sell. The magazine release is too hard, the slide lock is to hard to release, it will also won't lock up on the last round, the trigger pull is to hard, the slide to frame fit is already loose by just firing a little over 200 rounds to break in the gun, Too bad Girsan doesn't make a 1911 chambered for 9MM. Girsan is a better made and better quality gun. Price point is fantastic but you need to work on the gun to get it to par.

Great gun for the money , definitely exceeded my expectations .. Grips are good , not great, but that is an easy fix.

Once the layaway was paid in full and item was shipped, it arrived very quickly! Out of the box, you can tell that the machining, fit and finish, and overall quality of the gun is very nice. I was a little skeptical when I first put the gun on layaway back in June, as I had read several reviews on the internet about the overall quality of the gun (and we all know that everything you read on the internet has to be true). I decided that I would wait and reserve judgement for myself. I took the gun to the range a couple of days later and ran @200 rounds of remanufactured 125 gr. cast bullets through it with no FTF/FTE. Don't expect the gun to be deadly accurate straight out of the box, because you will be disappointed. Fortunately this is an easy enough fix. I also am not a huge fan of the grips, but again, this is easily fixed. Beware that if you lose a screw that they are not a standard size, you would need to change the bushing if this occurs. I placed a new pair of wrap-around Pachmayr grips on it and the gun became instantly more comfortable. Overall, I am EXTREMELY pleased with the gun, and Buds came through just as they always do! It is worth your while to attempt the "Make an offer" option. I won't say what I paid for it, but suffice it to say to start low and work your way up. As long as you go into this with the mindset that you don't want or expect a Wilson Combat type 1911 by making this purchase, you shouldn't be disappointed with this weapon.

I am totally satisfied with this pistol. I was surprised by the excellent quality of the fit and finish of this pistol. I took it to the range just as received without cleaning and it performed flawlessly. I am also quite pleased with Bud's. I ordered this pistol on Wednesday and it was shipped the same day. I was able to pick it up from my FFL on Saturday. This is my fourth purchase from Bud's but it won't be my last, that's for sure.

Reliable, smooth and well built firearm. It has fed both JHP and FMJ rounds flawlessly. Sights are very old-fashioned compared to the updated versions out there, and they do not offer much of a sight picture. My big rub is the magazine that comes with the pistol...an easy fix after market. At first, I did not like the wooden grips, but they have grown on me. All in all, a good purchase.

I'm liking this pistol very much. Probably put about 600 rounds through it with no failures. Aside from the magazine that came with it, I'm using 2 Kimber 1911 9mm 9 round stainless magazines with no issues. I did replace the smooth wooden hand guards with some black plastic ones. I didn't mind the look of the wooden ones, I just wanted some non-smooth grips. I think the issue with replacing grips is that the Tisas screws are placed slightly farther apart than on a regular 1911. By shaving a small amount of materiel from the grip holes on the outer edges of the grips I was able to get a good fit.

The Tisas 9mm 1911 is quite a gun. I admit that I was somewhat skeptical because of the price and the fact that it's made in Turkey...if it's not US made its junk right? Hardly! This gun is fantastic, from the clean craftsmanship to the incredible accuracy! I took it to the range today and shot 100 rounds with only one malfunction; a failure to return to full battery. I cleared the pistol and found the round that it tried to feed had an imperfection on the nose of the bullet, causing to to not fully feed. So really, the gun was a 100% while the ammo was 99%. I was shooting 1 1/2" groups at 15 yards, and the gun performed much better than I expected. The trigger is crisp and clean and gave me no problems. The sights are pretty small but they are functional. The magazine release is slightly undersized but that is a very easy fix. All in all, I am very impressed with this gun and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Open your mind and try a Tisas; you won't regret it.

Well, I never thought Id be writing a review on this gun...But, I just had to for the simple reason that I bought a 9 mm.. I really must say that I'm very much impressed.. With everything involved with it. The Customer service, and how quickly I received the pistol...I had made an offer for the 9 mm Zig m1 1911. It was accepted. After I had paid and sent them my FFL address, it was sent right away. When I received it. I was taken back to when I was in the army. Packing one of these guns for years...I could hardly hit what I'd aim at lol... At any rate I kept an open mind... When I got to the range I could not believe it.. At 35 yards I was getting groups of 2 to 3 inches free hand, I was just astounded at it's performance...The recoil was just where I wanted it to be, the action was smooth...The trigger pull was perfect..The sights are military a bit small, but with the accuracy I got , I don't believe I'll change them. Needless to say I'm a happy camper to say the least...The machining was that of a much higher grade 1911's. I like it so much I'm going to buy my son one... I really do recommend this pistol to any one looking for a 1911... Whether your a new shooter or an expert.. You'll like this gun..... Besides at this price, How could you go wrong...

this is my third gun purchase from Buds Guns. I have to say this is better then expected look and feel are great , excellent balance ,shot 50 rounds threw no problems 20 yrds at 3 " steel plate only missed twice not bad trigger pull good not great sight std black but were dead on, three dot sight system would be better but if you can shoot youll do just fine with this 9 mm 1911, highly recommend to any one don't pass this deal up. Now if I can just find more mags at a reasonable price.
