First time buying from Buds, first time buying a Savage. As of now I'm more than pleased with both. As for the product its all good but remember, this is a ten pound rifle and seems better suited to bench rest work as opposed to humping into the bush.

Nice wood stock and SS fluted barrel makes for a nice looking rifle. Not a blemish on either. Mounted a Vortex Viper on it and off to the range. Had several 1/4" groups with Fiocchi 204 ammo. Put 100 rounds thru it and was accurate, should get a little better with a few more rounds thru it. Trigger was @ 2lbs out of box, I adjusted to ~2.5 lbs. Only problem, it didn't like the 34gr midway dog-town bullets I had loaded for my other Ruger 204. Didn't want to feed then all the time (had no problems feeding the Fiocchi 204 ammo. Another great buy from Buds. Good price on good looking rifle that has good out-of-the-box accuracy.
