Purchased in 6mm Norma bench rest topped it with a weaver scope after a little load tweaking it shoots a 10 shot group at 200 yards that can be covered with a quarter very happy with purchase

This rifle is a work of art. You would swear the stock is custom made, the barrel is massive. You may need somebody to help you carry it to the firing line, it's that heavy. Make sure you order the model 12 Varmint class rail for your scope. I've never owned a more beautiful rifle. I've had to mock up bullets using IMR 4350 until my Norma 203-B powder shows up, but trust me, you can shoot very tight groupings with this. Even amazing groupings. 100 yards just isn't a challenge. Our range doesn't go to 600 yards, so I'm planning on joining a second club so I can get a true test. Anybody that has the money will fall in love with this weapon.

I will start with the good and end with the bad.
This rifle is truly amazing. My first five shot group was .157 MOA. I have never felt a better trigger on any rifle. After 75 rounds, every group has been under .400 MOA. I haven't even started to develop a load yet and it's shooting that well.
I love this rifle and I plan to shoot many matches with it.
Now the bad.
I bought this rifle on line and had it shipped to my local FFL. When I picked the rifle up the box was clearly marked model 18533. When I opened the box I could see that it was not the correct rifle. The stock was the benchrest model and not the F-class stock. The barrel was 29 inches and not 30 inches like the F-class rifle. It did have the correct single port target action like the F-class rifle. The benchrest rifle has a dual port action.
I called Savage and they assured me that my serial number was the F-class rifle (model 18533). I described the rifle to them and they had no explanation.
Savage was very good about it and offered to take the rifle and configure it to any way that I wanted, or even replace it at no charge.
I have always been a big fan of Savage rifles and I still am. They treated me very well with this problem. I just cant't believe that they could mix up two rifles like that in the manufacturing process.
As I was boxing up the rifle to send it to the factory, I decided that I really liked it and ended up keeping it. After shooting it I realized how much I love this one of a kind rifle.

Cannot beat these Savage model 12s for out of the box accuracy at a reasonable cost. This F class rifle has consistently done better than one-half MOA at 600 yards.

I bought this rifle from Bud's 2 months ago. My FFL got the shipment within day's. This is my 2nd firearm I bought through Buds and it won't be my last. So far this rifle shoot consistent .22 MOA from 100 & 200 yards. I haven't yet tried it out to 600+ but that will be next year when the warm weather comes back.

I bought this rifle from Bud's 5-6 months ago. I have not had the opportunity to get it dialed in to my satisfaction yet but every 5 shot group I have shot has been .900" or less at 100 yards (most have been in the .400"-.600" range). This is strictly a benchrest rifle, It is too heavy for anything else but this is what I bought it for. Most of the fun of owning a gun like this is hunting for that perfect load that will give you one ragged hole at 100 yards (or more). Bud's service was outstanding on this and subsequent orders. I will continue to be a Bud's customer.
