This is a great rifle and even takes large capacity mags. If you use lower capacity mags it may not trigger the WOKE because it is not AK.

I have installed a folding stock made specifically for this rifle, which made it better overall. The price is a bit high, but, I did wait for one to come available for some time. the 7.62x39 ammo is the hook... far less expensive to shoot. I'd recommend it.

This beauty was dead nuts on right out of the box. A great weapon.

Transactions was easy. I sent a check for payment so that took extra time of course. Shipping seemed a little slow, but there could be a variety of reason for that. Was received in perfect condition. Wanted a Mini 30 all my life and I was not disappointed. Shot the gun yesterday and it is amazing and fun to shoot, and very accurate even with open sights. I have purchased several guns from Bud's over the years and never had a single problem with my purchase.

I love this gun. It is dead on for first 4or5 shots then the barrel gets hot im still getting 4" inch groups at 75 yds with the rest of the mag. I am starting to reload my own and . Very nice. Oh break in is around 50 rounds.

I bought this gun from Bud's in Oct of 2016 and since then have put about 500 rounds of various ammo through it. It works best with ammo that uses boxer primers, which includes most American ammo and several foreign manufactures such as Fiocchi and PPU. With Tula, Wolf and Monarch, which use the burdan primer, I had 15-20% FTF. With the right ammo this gun is awesome. I put a Nikon Prostaff 5 scope on it and it is a real nail driver at 100 yards. Haven't fired it beyond that. Needless to say, Bud's did their usual terrific job of getting the gun and the scope to me and at a very competitive price. This is the fifth gun I have bought from Bud's and won't be my last.

Awesome little rifle. A perfect round to shoot this thing all day. Fit and finish are great. Put a Nikon scope on it and it was remarkably accurate right out of the box. Everyone wanted to shoot it, and were doing 2 inch groups at 120 yards. The bolt is massive and works flawlessly. Bud's is a great shop to buy from. They are well-stocked, have the best prices anywhere, and they make the transfer seamless. Now I want to purchase the Mini 30's cousin, the Mini 14.

Absolutely love this rifle. I purchased this Firearm for its added power over the mini 14 (which I love), its stainless look and versatility. So far it has chewed through steel case ammo without any failures to load or fire. I understand most dont so I wont rely on exclusively steel case ammo for anything other than target practice. Accuracy is great, I was able to smash bricks and half bricks from about 20-30 yards with open sights, so that is more than accurate enough for my hunting/varmint control needs. I still prefer my mini 14 for most situations with varmints but I got the mini 30 for larger game like hog or to make examples out of raccoons up to no good. So far so good. I highly recommend this rifle if you are interested in this model.

An accurate and reliable rifle. Feeds flawlessly with all US ammunition. Some failures to extract with polymer or lacquered steel case rounds. I've logged about 1,700 rounds since purchase, and have had no mechanical problems. I highly recommend this light and handy rifle for feral hogs, whitetail deer, and any small game.

Love this rifle.. Eats steel case ammo like a champ. Added a Leupold hog vx 1-4 scope on low rings and it's perfect. Another high quality firearm from Ruger. Highly recommend.

QPD order from Buds. I have had a great overall experience, as usual with Buds. Shipping was reasonable time frame due to high volume of sales during the holiday season, but was still there within the time frame stated. Arrived in great shape. This rifle is awesome in all facets. I have been waiting years to purchase this, and given the upgraded model with the 583- XXXXX serial numbers, I was glad I did. My friend has an older model that was not know for accuracy when the barrel warmed up a bit. This one shoots accurately and is capable of flawlessly handling various ammo, from cheap to premium. Realize that this is a utility carbine so your are not going to get the same performance of a long barrel gun, but, this thing is as good as it gets for reliability and is my "go to" brush gun for southern deer and hog. I can carry this all day, especially in the thick stuff. Came with rings and a rail mount for optics if you want them. I'm currently using a Vortex Strikefire Red/green dot. Iron sights are OK, but I'm looking for an aftermarket fiber optic for the front site, mainly because of my aging eyes. Very satisfied all the way around, and I shop Buds as there is no other reason not to. Service, prices, and quality.....Thanks Buds!

If you want one of these to shoot your steel case ammo you will be making a mistake. It shoots copper jacket okay but forget steel case ammo. I wish I would have bought a high end AK variant now. It is fairly accurate and with the recoil it feels like you could shoot it all day long. We were getting 2-3" groupings with the iron sights out of the box.

The mini-30 arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Thanks Buds!! The new mini-30 design (series 582 serial numbers) has the newer barrel design, sights and scope mountings for included rings. The stainless steel components seem to include almost everything (but the extractor, springs, firing pin and sights. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase, and have had no problems with golden bear ammo and Ruger magazines. A great firearm!
