The most fun I have had at the range in a while. Great for plinking but I wouldn't mind it as a bug out bag backup for squirrel and rabbit hunting either. 22 short fires very quiet and accurate in this.

Super fun to shoot. Great for my kid's intro to firearms. Would buy again....but this lil gal is never leaving my collection!

I love this rifle. I have always loved lever action guns. This rifle has had about 2000 rounds shot through it with no issues. I seldom go to a gun range because I live in the country. But when I do, shooters come up to me and ask to check it out. Of course I let them shoot it and it’s an instant hit. It’s accurate and very reliable. Bud’s is fast with shipping and always has with my other gun purchases. I just wish Bud’s would come to Texas and build some stores!!

If you want a fun shooter , this is it , anything you run through it works just fine , takes a little getting used to at first but makes time at the range more enjoyable. Thank Buds

My first Henry ha ha fun for plinking and unless you are Josh Randall plinking is bout all i can see it being good for. Rifle /pistol is of amazing quality as you would expect from Henry. Only ran a couple hundred through it and if there were a bounty on dog food cans i could afford another one. Buds was everything i had heard they were. Far exceeded my expectations. Love the weapon and highly recommend Buds

I purchased the Henry Mare's leg for my son for his birthday. I got a regular Henry .22LR for my older son a few years ago, and it was wonderful. My younger son is small and struggled against the weight and length to hold a sight picture with his brother's rifle. The Mare's leg was the perfect answer. He put about 100 rounds through it last weekend. It is beautiful, accurate and the action is like butter. You feel like you are holding an heirloom-quality rifle. My son could handle it comfortably from loading to firing and cleaning. I contacted Henry about breaking in the barrel (which is not necessary, I was told). They responded promptly. They were knowledgeable and friendly. I got the impression that they cared about their customers and were proud of their products. I own Marlins, S&W, Savage, Mossbergs and all kinds of stuff that I really enjoy, but Henry's are special. My family will definitely buy more Henry's.

One of the most funnest guns I own, a lot of compliments at the ranges I go to. 500 rounds through it so far and no problems. It's always in my range bag now! This is my 2nd Henry, they are pretty smooth actions like the reviews online say. I wouldn't mind a 2nd Mare's Leg in 38/357. Accuracy is good out on this handgun I have only had the chance to test it to 10 yards.

Neat little gun. Lots of other options that make more sense but fun to shoot with the kids. Buttery smooth. Just wish it was a little cheaper.

This is an awesome gun. I have 4 henrys and this is by far my favorite. It is incredible accurate . It is the great henry quality you expect. It takes a few shots to figure out best way to hold it but once you do, look out ... i love it so much that l will probably order the magnum version next. What a great 22lr!!!! Can’t say enough great things about it. No regrets on this purchase!!! If your thinkin of getting one, quit thinkin and just get it ordered already!!

1st day at the range I put 100 rounds though the 22LR Mares Leg and from 15 I had 30 rounds in the inner 2 inch circle. I moved the target to the end of the range and out of 20 rounds I had 28 inside the 4 inch target and the lost two where still inside the 6 inch target....amazingly accurate and felt smooth!

Outstanding is all I can say about this Henry's Mare's leg.There is absolutely nothing I can say about this "Pistol" except Henry has produced another winner. Mechanically perfect, exterior finish is perfect and overall firing the "Mare" is a pure joy. Great little gun, my wife loves it which is why I bought it for her b-day. The finish is great as with all Henry Rifles, very smooth action. Only wish the 22 came with a brass receiver so it would look better next to her Golden Boy

henrys mares leg 22 lr is a beatiful rifle,fun to shoot,and dead on target doze not kick,my wife has took it from me it is now hers.i am 75 and she is 71 and a good shot thanks buds gun shop for quick service now i got to get me another one.fred.

Sorry for not posting this review earlier. This gun is super fun to shoot. I've probably put a couple thousand rounds thru her by now and the only complaint I have is that the feed tube does not stay secure. A small price to pay for how good the action is on this weapon. Again, I can't tell you how much bang for the buck you'll get with this gun. It's a hoot!
