I got my 257 Weatherby Vanguard out of the box and lapped the barrel with J&B bore paste for about 30 minutes, mounted a Tasco World Class 3-9x50 scope, and began to break it in by shooting it slowly and cleaning it frequently. After about 40 rounds it began to shoot sub MOA (it is not the sub-MOA model) groups. I honestly believe this is the best rifle for the price in America today...bar none. I have tow of these (the other a 300WBYcal) ant they both are tack drivers.
