A bit stiff on the lock up, securing the rounds in place, but drop freely into the chambers when disengaging the twist lock. Perfect? No, but what speedloader is?

6 rounds fit snuggly/ securely and quickly deploy with a simple twist of the knob. Simplifies and speeds revolver loading for my Ruger GP100 4.2 in.

I've used these loaders for years. The housing is plastic, so they have no metalic rattle. Have yet to have one drop a cartridge or fail to release. I practice at least once a week with empty brass in the cylinders and live rounds in the loaders. I can now keep my head up and maintain situational awareness while reloading. Three S&Ws, a Colt and a Ruger and they all work with the factory grips.

I have been looking for an HKS Speedloader 586A; I searched over 10 different sites / companies; BudsGunshop was "by far" the best price. The products arrived within one week. I estimate that I saved from $16 up to $48 compared to the other companies' pricing.

the 586A model is made to fit the S&W 686 - works great for a "speedy" speedload for my new 686- 4" - 6 rd purchase from Buds.

Received this revolver several days ago and almost did not accept it, from my FFL dealer. While the gun is new the cylinder appeared to have been cycled through the gun many many times. Having 50 plus years of experience with new and used guns, this cylinder shows lots of wear. I contacted Ruger customer service about the issue, who offer no explanation of the excessive wear marks on the cylinder. Was told I could return the gun to Ruger at my expense, but they could not tell me if they would replaced the marked up/used cylinder. So all in all I'm disappointed with the quality of this revolver and will not being buying any additional Rugers (own 6 currently) in the future. Bud's prices and delivery are very good and hard to beat. This is not an issue for Buds, but is one for Ruger. Buds get 5 stars and Ruger get 2
