I was looking for an entry level shotgun for sporting clays and this was recommended by an instructor friend. It has been great! Buds, as always makes the transactions as easy as is humanly possible! 🙏🙏

awesome hunting shotgun. Beretta shotguns are well made and spit in the target

I really wanted to like this gun. Couldn’t get it to cycle anything other than 3” field loads. Tried everything I knew to remedy that with no success. Ultimately ended up selling it.

Good shotgun for a decent price (not the $6k figure in the add). Great service from Bud's as usual.

Reliable shotgun. I used it for Skeet and Trap shooting. Worked so well I gave it to my son as a Dad gift and he uses it for the same. Rock solid action and I was always proud for it to be on the rack waiting for my match.

Great semiauto shotgun. Has been flawless for a couple hundred shells so far on the skeet range.

I was extremely pleased with the service provided by Buds Guns. Additionally, I am thrilled with the Beretta A300 Outlander. Great gun for a great price, with great service.

Well balanced, sweet handling shotgun. Recoil is negligible. Cycles light loads and heavy magnums interchangeably.
Two things I was unaware of until I received this gun: First, the magazine only holds two shells. If you need more than three shots, a gunsmith will need to replace some parts. It’s not just a matter of removing a magazine plug. This was not a concern for me since I intend to use it mostly for doves and waterfowl. Second, the magazine cutoff is always in effect when you load and unload the gun unless you press the small chrome button on the feed ramp. This is different from most automatic shotguns I have used. Not a problem once I got used to it, but it is different.
I have shot several ducks with it so far, as well as clay targets and crows. I like it a lot so far, and look forward to using it more.
After shooting pump shotguns and an over/under all my life, at the age of 64 I decided to give myself some relief from heavy recoil and get an automatic. So far, so good.
I really like this shotgun. I hope it’s as durable as my other guns have been. If it holds up, I suspect it will become my favorite.

I’ve had it for 2 years now, cannot complain at all. Reliable and accurate, at least for dove hunting, which is all I use it for.

Pretty unsatisfied with A300 after first outing with it. After unpacking, cleaning, piling and reassembly I took it out to do some skeet shooting. It would not eject shells at all. I figured I would put a few boxes of shells through it to break it in but after 200 shells it was still failing to eject. Beretta wasn’t much help, just told to me to clean an out back together.
Will give it another cleaning and try again this week with heavier shells.

shotgun could not be assembled. The piston would not fit over the shaft to allow the assembly. I contacted buds and explained the problem. A new piston was sent to me and It was just like the one that came with the gun. I shoot clays every Sunday with 10 to 15 people. Several have Beretta, less that a year old, with wood stocks. mine is Synthetic. We took their piston and put it on my gun and was able to assemble gun. My gun shot great. I contacted buds and explained the issue. I explained we measured their shaft and it was .415". my shaft was .415". Their piston inside dia. was .418" and my inside dia. was .412". The response from buds technical advisor is not acceptable. I have packaged the gun and waiting for UPS to pick up and deliver to Midwest gun works as your technical advisor suggested. I will be buying all my guns locally from now on, that way I can talk to the sales person face to face. I have a P Beretta Model A303 made in Italy I have been shooting for years and never had a problem - just thought I would try a newer gun and save my A303 for my Grand son. I had no idea I would run into this much trouble.

Great looking little gun and arrived quickly. However, the butt adjustment package had been opened and one of the 40 mm screws was gone. The one inch butt plate spacer had already been installed. Additionally, the drop spacer was already installed and the additional parts were missing. It makes me wonder if this is perhaps a returned or showroom item? Had to order screws and a drop adjustment kit from another dealer. Not sure I will purchase online again.

Nice shotgun for the money (I paid $511 for mine), but it did come with a problem. The carrier, that little hinged flap where you load the shells into the magazine, would get stuck in the up position when loading. I guess you could say it was "Stuck Up". There was no obvious, visible reason for it, but upon close inspection there was a protrusion on the trigger group assembly that would snag the carrier every time a shell was loaded. Once loaded, you could jiggle it and it would drop back down then the gun would fire and cycle fine, it was only a problem when loading. I disassembled the gun and with a dremel tool I ground off the protrusion (looked like a mold defect or something) and the gun worked flawlessly after that.
It made me wonder whether there was any sort of QA checks in the manufacturing process, because all you had to do was push the carrier up and it would stick every time. It be hard for even the most unqualified inspector to miss.
Since I repaired it, it has performed flawlessly for several hundred rounds. I'd buy it again even knowing what I know now, but only if it were still $511, I probably wouldn't for the $617 price tag it has now.

Great shotgun, fast shipping (arrived 2 days after purchase). I bought an aftermarket fiber optic front sight and I must say this gun is a dream to shoot. I bought it as a back up and also. 3” chambered 12 gauge in case it’s bad weather out and I’m planning on shooting. I have a Winchester sx3 I baby but have grown to love this one as much and am glad I got it all for about half of the price of the sx3. It does feel like a little more recoil but it’s not painful to shoot with game load shells, if you’re new to shooting it would be a good gun for an average ornlaefer man, but ablady may want to go with a heavier gun like a Remington 1100, however with an aftermarket ported choke tube this should be comparable. Overall, If you’re debating this gun, just buy it, clean it up then shoot about 5 buck shot shells through it to make sure it works accordingly and you should be able to cycle several hundred game load shells without fail (I was using Winchester brand number 7 steel shot 100 round boxes from Walmart). Caution, it didn’t come with a carrying case so you will want to make sure you have a case or sock to transport it, you can find the hard shell beretta blue cases online for around $50 or a cheap sleeve case I’d you don’t want to break it down to travel. And you’ll want to upgrade the front sight, and potentially buy some extended choke tubes, but all of that will still keep it under $800 if you buy it on sale.

The Beretta A300 Outlander is a Maserati. My wife (5'7"/115lbs) wanted a lightweight shotgun that kicked less than others. After much research, This is one of the lightest at 7.2lbs. She could feel how light it was and how well it pointed. The Beretta gas system is excellent for reducing recoil and is mostly self cleaning. She shoots trap confidently now and has made perfect 50. An experienced shooter, success was due to the Beretta A300 Outlander. The shotgun is a natural pointer, hold one yourself. There is not a semi-auto shotgun in this price range that can compare with it. You'll have to double the price to find a better shotgun. Reliable with all loads tried, heavy field or low base target. Haven't had a malfunction after +1000 rounds. Hers is the black synthetic, but trouble showed up at the range with a wood stocked A300. Man was it pretty. Maybe check one of those before you buy. I have no complaints with this shotgun, rugged and well made. I'm so thankful how much renewed enthusiasm my wife has. I never go to the trap range alone, and we even share upland bird hunting. Bud's has an excellent price, buy with confidence. Pick up the Beretta Hard Case for the Outlander, Bud's #713086304, it makes it a nice setup.

For being the "base" model in a long line of 12 ga Beretta's, this shotgun does not fell or shoot anything like a starter model. Easy to assemble, great instructions (pictures if needed!) and the machining is very clean. This is all the gun I need for traps. It only makes me want to step up model by model. Buds was quick and it was received by my gun dealer very fast. Thx
