Purchased to compete with my son and his tack driver (different manufacturer). Arrived quickly from Buds. Swapped triggers (Timney) and added a scope (Vortex) and started working up tried and true loads for the caliber. Consistently hitting a 10 inch plate at 800 yards. There is a reason the 700 is such a popular platform. It has been proven through the years and yet again in my circumstance. It is on the heavy side so I wouldn't want to carry up and down mountainsides hunting elk in Colorado...but if I were to stay in one spot...watch out elk!

Bought this to use with some 30-06 military match ammo i have had
for years. It shoots m72 match very well around .75" at 100 yards. I had forgotten how much recoil the 06 had and the m40 stock took the recoil well. I had the barrel threaded for a suppressor and now i'm working on loads for 200 yds. It is a great gun with good accuracy for a factory piece. The trigger is crisp and light and i would recommend it for anyone wanting a good factory long range rifle..

Shoots great. My rem 5r 308 shoots the same hole but this 30-06 shoots almost as good. Has a kick but lots of fun to shoot a grown up rifle. Will get a muzzle brake at some point to knock off half the recoil. Have leupold vx3-lrp on all my big rifles so I can see what I’m doing.

The accuracy of this rifle is a little disappointing so far,(1"-1 1/4" groups@ 100 yds) otherwise I can find no faults with the trigger or the manufacturing of this rifle.

Love the idea of having lay-a-way only wish it was 6 months instead of 3 months. Smooth transaction! I will be a return customer. Completely satisfied.

Very good groups with factory ammo and have definitely trusted this Rifle in the field. I Can't say the same for the same rifle in 300 wm as groups were really bad as in the 6-7 inches apart like a huge pizza slice at 100 yards. Probably got a defective 300wm long range.

Excellent service from Buds and the rifle was better than expected. The only complaint is with the trigger. Replaced with Timney and rifle performs well, easily sub moa.

Excellent rifle, trigger is very good and with the Bell & Carson stock you can't go wrong. I rely heavily on reviews as I can't see or try the product, and most on this weapon and on Bud's service were excellent. Will use Bud's again and Remington has a big winner here.

Excellent value for the price!! Very accurate, excellent trigger and the long barrel gives you a little boost in the velocity dept.!! For $650.00 I don't think Remington could do much better!! Bud's gave their usual quick, professional service!!

Excellent rifle, i replaced the trigger with a timney trigger. It is a tack driver with the Millet scope. I am shooting a 1.250 group at 100 yards every day.

Great and reliable rifle, very precise and accurate after target shooting at 200/300 yards for a test fire. I know for facts that this rifle will do same accuracy on farther distance with a better scope.

This was my 4th transaction with buds, my first doing a trade with them. It was quick and easy. My trade offer was accepted the day I put it in and boxes were shipped to me the next day. Took buds less than a week to send me boxes, and receive and process my order. Then my Remington 700 long range was shipped and took about 3 days to get to ffl. Chase at AxArms in Memphis area was great. Fast easy transaction and one of the cheapest in town. The Remington 700 was perfect. No imperfections at all in the finish, the action was very smooth, and the trigger was great. The Mark X triggers can be hit or miss from what I've seen but this was a good one. Overall very pleased with this rifle. I put a Burris Droptine G2B mildot 4.5-14x on it and can't wait to get out on the range in a few days.

Kudos to Buds for another outstanding service. The rifle arrived in good condition and cosmetically perfect. Got the rifle home and mounted a Vortex HS-T 6x24-50 scope on it. The only negative I could find is the trigger. The infamous Mark X trigger seems to be either good or bad out of the box. I did not get a good one, so I ordered a Timney 510 trigger for it. I never liked the Mark X trigger-its skinny and smooth, and much prefer the Timney which reminds me of the older Walker triggers, wide and serrated, and easily adjusted down to a light consistent pull, something the Mark X would not. I really like the Bell&Carlson M40 stock. Aluminum bedding block makes mounting and dismounting the action a simple operation. Do yourself a favor and get a torque wrench for the action screws as well as the scope ring/base screws. It helps. Found a good handload using Lapua brass, Rederal 210M primers, Nosler 175 grain match bullets and a load of IMR4350, which will now do 1/2 inch at 100 yards for 5 shots. I knocked off one point for the trigger, but overall, I really like this rifle.

Very happy with my Long Range. Have only shot it with hand loads and it has been MOA at 100 yds. Hope to take it out to longer distances soon. The bolt is smooth and I love the stock. Very sturdy. Thanks Buds!

Excellent rifle! Very heavy, but that's a plus when shooting longer ranges. The stock is phenomenal, and the action and trigger are flawless as one would expect. Bud's shipped this to me in a timely manner and in perfect condition. Accuracy out of the box is amazing. Already shooting 2" groups at 100 yards and haven't even gone through 100 rounds. Great gun at a great price!!

GREAT LOOKING RIFLE. COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH BUDS SERVICES

Right out of the box this rifle was amazing. With an economical Nikon scope, I had it zeroed at 200 meters and was punching half dollar sized groups with Hornady Custom ammunition (sorry, I don't remember the bullet weight... 150gr. possibly). Can't wait to see what it will do when I'm able to put a better scope on it. It is, of course, a very barrel heavy gun so a bipod or sandbag rest are recommended. Buds is usually great but this time things were a tad on the slow side. That might have been due to the fact that I used an electronic check but the funds completely cleared within the hour and the rifle shipped 7 days later. Still though, they have the best prices out there and their customer service is great. I always recommend them and send them business when I can and won't hesitate to come back time and time again.

Love this rifle. I have used it once for a Ground Hog Shoot (200-300-500 yds) and plan to use it more. Bought it for long range shooting, including 1000 yds shots. The varmint weight barrel in a Remington 700 Long Action caught my interest. The Bell & Carlson M40 stock is solid and holds great. I have been working with Barnes 155 Match Burners, Hornady 178 HPBT Match and Sierra 125 Spitzer. Along the way, I ran a 1/2 package of Tubbs Final Finish through the rifle. This rifle is posting sub-MOA groups at 100 yds. Moving to 200 yds, the Sierra 125 SP's recently printed 6 shots into a 1" group at 200 yds. The Barnes 155's were a close second with 5 shots printing 1-1/4" at 200 yds. Overall, very impressed with this rifle and looking forward to continuing my load development to maximize this rifle's potential.

I took my new Remington 700 LR 30-06 to the range for the first time today. Shot four 5-shot groups at 100 yards using Federal soft point ammo (150 gr). The biggest group was 1.109 inch, the smallest was .586 inch. Can't wait to see what this thing will do with my handloads. Thank you Remington, and thank you Bud's!
