Good solid rifle for the money, fun to shoot

I read a few bad reviews about this gun and also watched a couple youtube vids trashing this 30-06. This was AFTER I bought the gun. Let me just say that the gun I purchased is awesome. Everything about this inexpensive firearm is great. Most importantly, it is very accurate. I can hit a group of shots within a 3x3 circle from 100 yards out. It kicks like a mule but that's what you get with a lightweight cannon. I'm very happy with this firearm.

The gun came in quick. Didn't have to wait long for it to be delivered. Looks and works great. I love it.

I bought this rifle because I couldnt scope my 91/30 mosin nagant, I really wanted a cheap, high powered sniper. For a whopping $310 I bought this gun. Kicks like a mule, the 'supercell' recoil pad sounds nice, but the 30'06 (7.62 x 63) is going to recoil. For a budget rifle you cannot beat it. Buds service and delivery was amazing, my 4th purchase from buds, just put the taurus 740 slim on layaway 3 mins ago. I would highly recommend this rifle for anyone on a budget, looking a powerful, reliable bolt action rifle. Btw the bent bolt is a nice feature but is a very tight squeeze with the scope, and the bolt isnt very smooth. 8/10 ay least you will not be dissapointed with this purchase.

I am amazed every time I have purchased something from Buds! they are fast, efficient, and accurate and I cant wait to go to the range and sight in my new Remington 783! I am looking forward to years of fun hunting with it!

save your extra $50 dollars or so and buy the slick version.......scopes is crap.....objective eye piece movement = change in point of impact............wiggles around several inches even at 25's.........certain that rifle is capable of 2 moa or better at 100' but haven't got a decent scope mounted on it yet to try it out..........looking forward to retesting..........

Ordered this gun from Buds early Tuesday morning received a call from my FFL on Thursday afternoon letting me know my gun had arrived. If you've never ordered from buds and are somewhat skeptical of buying firearms online all I can say is that I was the same way at first but this makes the 8th purchase from buds and never an issue. As far as the 783 in 30-06 goes I'm very happy I made this purchase. The gun is exactly what I needed to take down whitetail this upcoming season. The scope I feel will be good enough for where I'm hunting at, might get off a 200 yard shot. Bolt is a little stiff but I felt it wasn't a big concern and will probably smooth out after some use. Recoil is very manageable. As far as accuracy goes, once I had the scope zeroed I was able to get a 1 inch 3 shot group using Winchester super x 165 grain ammo. I was only at about 75 yards but that's all the distance I could get at the time. I would definitely recommend this rifle in 30-06.

Buds shipped fast as always. Purchased Monday night had gun in hand Thursday afternoon. Great price.. didn't give 5 stars because the scope is either not bore sighted or maybe got bumped off in shipping. Took a few shots to even find the target. However, with an abundance of up clicks and right clicks it's good to go.. Great budget rifle. Buds was over $100 less than any comparable dealer including cabellas.
