I bought one of these in 2016 for ~$1250. After replacing the awful stock trigger, this was one of the most accurate rifles I've ever owned. Unfortunately, it burned up in a fire. I would replace it, but they are rare as hen's teeth now.

Great rifle that is a super accurate factory rifle. Trigger is crisp, and action is smooth. Was much less when I bought a few years ago, but what isn't now-a-days...

Remington Gen2 Model 700 5R .300 Winchester Magnum 24" was received in good order. The concerns in past purchases of Remington and H-S precision stocks is the free floating barrel is not aligned properly in the barrel channel. This Model 700 Win Mag was absolutely fine and required no adjustments. A 5/8-24 muzzle brake and a Leupold Mark 4 Scope were added without any issues. The gun shoots great, recoil is minimal. I recommend anyone that favors 300 Win Mags to get one.

Great looking gun. The HS Precision stock feels great. May be slightly large for smaller hands.

The rifle looks good. I put a Bix-n-Andy two stage trigger in, and a Vortex Gen2 Viper on top. So far I have loaded and shot 208g Hornady ELD's with limited success. Groups are about 3 MOA. I was expecting much better. But I suspect with further load development, things might improve.

I have to say that this is the first time I was actually very disappointed. I should of have looked a little bit closer inside the action of the rifle when I unboxed it. I have purchased several items from Buds with no problems. It all started to go south when I fired the first round. The bolt got stuck. I cleaned the barrel and chamber well before. I thought because the rifle was new it acted this way. But again, the second shot presented the same problem. After closer look in the chamber I noticed that the metal that touches the belt of the case head was a bit pitted. I hope that it isn't the case but wow. I sent it to Remington to see what was the deal. Now I wait. When you get your gun make sure to inspect it very well.

WOW!! This gun is amazing!! Set up right this gun shoots just as good if not better than all the $5000.00 Builds that everyone thinks they need now days. I don't know about everyone else but when a gun shoots under 1/2 inch at 100 yds I don't think there is much room for improvement..

WOW! I always have been and always will be a 700 fan. I have a safe full of different models and calibers but this absolutely takes the cake. Several years ago I had to sell my .300 win mag and regretted it every day so when I was able to consider my next purchase there was no question of what the caliber would be and where I would buy it from. If I were to sit down and have a wish list of how I would build a long range / high power rifle for target and hunting this gun would be the result. The ONLY thing missing is a muzzle break but the factory threaded barrel makes that an easy fix. If you are a fan of Remington 700's find you one now! I've topped mine with a a Nikon Black X1000 6x24x50 on a 20 MOA rail. I seasoned the barrel with 40 rounds and it is a TACK DRIVER. 1" groups @ 300yds so far.
