MetroArms MAC 1911 Bullseye 8+1 .45 ACP 6" - Hard Chrome, 6" Barrel, 8+1 Rounds, Wood Grips

It is a very good gun for the price if you are looking for a 1911 6" long slide it might be right for you

The firearm is like a fine timepiece. It's officially my favorite 1911, but I do have a couple of minor complaints. The 2 piece guide rod will not budge so I can't get far with my disassembly. I'll have to see if my gunsmith can get it to unscrew. Secondly, my Bullseye came with its very own idiot scratch. You'd think the lovely MAC people would know how to properly reassemble their own firearms without messing up the otherwise immaculate finish. Haven't shot it yet, but if she shoots as good as she looks, I'll be happy.

I have wanted a long slide 1911 for a long time. I just could not decide which one I was going to purchase. After doing some research I found this little gem and I could not be happier I chose the Metro Arms. The fit and finish are up there with the high end 1911's. The features are up there with the high end pistols also. However the price is where you would expect to see a mid level 1911. This is becoming my favorite 1911 that I own and I own a lot. It will take some breaking in because it is tight. From what I have read these Bullseye 1911's are all hand fit and I have no trouble believing that at all. Once again Buds came through with a great product at a great price and as always great service.

I put this gun on layaway back in March and picked it up this past Thursday from my FFL since Buds Gun Shop wasted no time getting it shipped and for that I will be buying from them again. I have to say this 1911 is by far an amazing gun for the price. It's very tight, no rattling parts. My bullseye came with the lighter colored grips instead of the darker ones shown in the picture. The stock grips look and feel perfect. I was going to change the grips and decided not to since the stock ones look so good. Out of the box it shoots perfectly, spent 200 rounds today at the range and didn't have a single hiccup. The sights were dead on and I had a small grouping at 15 yards. The front sight is blacked out but has a small indention and i took some nail polish and put a drop down into it and it was perfect. My only issue was with dis-assembly and the manual. The manual gives you the 3 different types of bushings and how to take them down, but does not tell you which one your gun has. Like the other reviewer mentioned, these 6" guns have a 2-piece guide rod. Once I found that out it made my life easier as I could not figure out how to remove the guide rod. I love this gun, it will be my pride and joy for range time and I HIGHLY recommend buying one from Buds.

The pistol meets my expectations for quality construction and tight tolerances, but the accompanying documentation is inadequate. The manual is generic, covering MAC pistols with three different guide rod arrangements. This pistol has what appears to be a one-piece guide rod (no hex socket in end of rod; transverse hole mid-way along the length of the rod), however it is two-piece. No way to tell this from the manual. So while I consider the pistol a "5", the Metro Arms package as a whole gets a "4".

this pistol straight out of the box was spot on, it had me shooting well above my skill level. ran 100 rounds threw it with out a hickup.only thing i did not like was bud's uses stock photo's and i thought it had a fiber optic site, it does not. shipping was next day service. i love bud's
