Was thinking about a Walther PPQ match or the newer PDP. Is this a better buy?

Walter, for best bang for your buck caniks are hard to beat. As for accuracy, reliability, and quality they're pretty equal. I will say I like the looks of the Walther better but not enough to spend the extra money on it. Both are great pistols and either would serve you well but canik wins because of the price difference. Walter, in my opinion, yes. I cannot say enough about the quality of the Canik SFX. Competition ready right out of the box. I have Walther's, Glock's, Smiths, Rugers, and a ton more and 6 Caniks to boot.Caniks are the low cost kings. Cheers and stay safe!

Is the holster this comes with ambidextrous?

Randall, no Sir. It is a "Right Side" Holster.

Is this a single or double action hand gun? The description states single in one part and then double in another.

really nether its a striker fired gun. it acts more like a single action in that the trigger pull is the same for all shots

Joseph, this firearm has a Single Action Trigger. It is "Striker Fired" same as a Glock.

Century's TP9SFx striker fire pistol comes with standard dovetail sight cuts, single action trigger, and a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. This model features Warren Tactical sights with a red and green fiber optic front. The rear sight is installed in a removable red dot cover to eliminate interference with certain red dot sights. It includes four red dot interface plates. It has a match grade barrel, loaded chamber indicator, reversible ambidextrous cocking lever, extended ambidextrous slide stop, and reversible magazine catch with two additional sizes. It includes two magazines, polymer holster with paddle/belt attachment, interchangeable backstraps, cleaning rod, and a brush. his TP9SFx has a black polymer frame, a Tungsten Gray Cerakoted slide with forward slide serrations and lightning cuts, and a Viper Red Dot.

Magazines are hard to come by, but you can modify Beretta sticks to work in it. Shoots nicely!

Like Canik! “None” Highly recommend it. Especially for a woman. Its light , and super light trigger soft recoil. And many extras with a case and screws ,drivers, Holster, Instructions, Florence front sight to change. From S&W I chose Canik ✊🏼

This first purchase with the smaller box turned into a bad day at the range. Cleaned it and put it back into it's box grave. Assuming I got a bad one and reading the reviews has caused me to buy more of this model and the new METE. I guess you had to use more than 115 grain rounds in this SFX from a few years ago. I plan to give it another try soon. Could just be too tight as a new gun. Had misfire after another that first and only attempt to shoot it.

An excellent purchase for the $$. The Canik is a great pistol by itself but combined with the Viper this is an awesome combo. After a few minutes to install the Viper and sight it in I have an accurate, dependable gun with a nice kydex holster and everything just fits. I'm a happy camper!

Great gun, reliable, shoot nice, of course, a great trigger, but the red dot takes some getting used to and a lot of practice, it is a little top-heavy also, too much wait on top and front and to lite in back, so I did add the Taylor Freelance brass kit and it did balance out the gun perfectly, shoots much better now,, great gun and ready for competition out of the box.

I just received my new Canik SFX and although I haven't had a chance to take it to the range I love the way it feels. I ordered the gun on Friday and received it on Wed. very satisfied with the delivery time from time order was placed, considering all the delays due to covid etc. happy with the gun so far, not broken in yet, just a few mags through it. build quality is good, simple break down for cleaning, and reassembly is easy. shoots well to point of aim, and nice clean trigger break and very short reset. only regret is that I didn't buy the same gun/sight combo when it was 200 dollars cheaper, pre-covid/pandemic/panic buying.
