One of my favorite double/single action guns I own. A pleasure to shoot. It's relatively light considering that it's not a plastic gun. Racking the slide feels like its on ball bearings. Super slick. The double action trigger pull weight is good but can be improved upon with oem parts if one wishes to do so. Only real con is that the front sight is part of the slide. So switching it out with say night sights will need considerable gunsmithing.

I got rid if 2 and kept the 1st one and the last one I took home Monday sadly to say it feels grimy. Had to pull the slide with a lot of force. The barrel wear was significant and this is "new" . It not a big thing but it came that way. Front side post was dirty and dark brown. Every time I pull down the slide lock lever its slow. I oiled it up and still the slide is slower to close than the others from what Incompared. I wish they would check it and give me a top notch one. I guess the more you but the less they care

Great gun. I specifically got this because it was the issue pistol for U.S. military. It shoots very well and recoil is very mild, probably because of weight of all steel construction. Probably too big for most folks to carry concealed but that's not why I got it. DA/SA trigger may be a problem for some to get used to.

Feels great in the hand, very accurate, no failures of any kind so far. My only disappointment was a quality of the finish on the slide – the finish was peeling off on underneath of the slide on a brand new gun and started to chip on the front after just a couple of trips to the range (in a padded case). Makes me wonder about the rest of the quality but so far gun performs flawlessly. For no practical reason, just to make me feel better about “all metal” gun, I’ve replaced the stock rod and trigger with metal parts – didn’t really noticed any difference in performance except that metal trigger does feel better than stock. The stock plastic grips a very good and comfortable, however I couldn’t resist to pimp it out and bought Beretta’s factory wood grips. They look amazing, will really dress up the gun and added girth was not an issue even with my average size hands. I would recommend them if you’re not planning on shooting this gun – these grips are stained wood and finish started to show wear after a single trip to the range. For me the real winners were Hogue Exotic Hardwood grips (Model: 92911) - being checkered all the way they provide truly amazing grip – almost feels like gun is glued to your palm and the color seems to be the natural color of the wood so any wear won’t be too noticeable (No, I do not work for them either).

Beretta M9A1 is all that I thought it would be and more.. Buds did a great job of getting it to the FFL in a very timely manner based on today's environment. This gun is truly amazing.

This was my first handgun and i am very happy i made the purchase. The gun is smooth low recoil and just feels great in my hands. Ive allready put over 200 rounds through the barrel and allready grouping shots at 30 feet. This gun is amazing and one that i will keep forever. I tried purchasing the 15 round version of this gun before but as i live in california was not allowed to complete the transaction. I inspected the gun at my FFL the sights were not the ones advertised. The gun performs decently.
