After a little research, I decided to buy the S&W M629 classic. I always try to shop Iocal shops as I prefer to see the item in my hands, but I could not find the revolver in stock anywhere in my area, so I decided to check out Bud's Gun Shop. The price at Bud's was far below what anyone locally could quote, plus free shipping and no taxes. The shipping was fast and the revolver is just what I wanted. I would recommend the Bud's for online purchases. The only negative I have is being able to reach customer service. The next day after I placed my order, I tried to call customer service to see if I could add on the shipping insurance. I tried calling twice and I was only hold for a long time each time and I could never get thru to an operator. I left my name and number at 10 am in the morning, I finally got a call back around 5 pm, which was too late, the gun had shipped. Luckily it arrived and intact and I saved the 9 bucks. This was just a minor thing and will not hold me back from ordering again.

What a great looking gun all around. When I got there and took this bad boy out of the case I couldn't believe what I was holding. Felt like I could take on the world with this beauty, what great craftsmanship by Smith and Wesson and as always great service from Buds. Can't wait to take this to the range.

Bud's Shipped to a local preferred dealer and the transfer went very well. The S&W 629 is a wonderful shooting pistol. I fired the gun with the factory Hogue grips, which soften the recoil well. I changed the grip to Hogue hardwood mono grips which changes the appearence and ballance of the pistol. The pistol is not as heavy feeling as a Ruger Redhawk, (same grips, with a 5 1/2" barrel) and the recoil is sharper, but what a sweet shooting handgun. The 6 1/2" barrel gives a good sight picture, and the accuracy is impressive. The 629 Classic shot well with a various loads. Bud's gunshop is very east to work with, the preferred dealers like Bud's, this is my second purchase from Bud's and I am enjoying both of them.

I have been going to buy this smith and wesson 626 classic for some time, I kept going to gun shows looking for a used one, but they wanted more than I could get a new one at Buds guns. Ordering online was very easy. This was my first purchase of a firearm online. I happened to know a FFL dealer who was already signed up with Buds, which made it even easier. Very fast shipment, gun was received in excellent condition. Would refer Buds guns to anyone looking for a great price on a new gun. I just ordered some ammo from here, and should arrive tomorrrow, which was also a first time purchase for me. But the price with shipping cost was still cheaper than I could buy locally.

Ordered a smith .44 magnum from Buds, it arrived at my FFL dealer in a couple of days, after the 10 day waiting period, I took it out to the range to try it out. This .44 meets and beats my expectations, the trigger is smooth as silk, sights dead on, the grips fit my hand perfectly with no feeling of slipping and the 6 1/2 barrel balances the gun perfectly, I would highly recommend this firearm to anyone looking for a solid sidearm for hunting or just target shooting, and Buds is the place to get it.

Bad to the Bone. This is a substantial revolver, big and heavy, which make for a very manageable kick.
Shot 24 rounds first time out, tweeked the adjustable rear site a bit and was getting consistent shots in the 4" circle from 40'. Thought about getting the 8" barrel, but glad I got the 6.5", its more than enough. Typical light S&W trigger on single action. As always. Buds was a pleasure to do business with.

Purchased this bad boy from Buds (best way to go), and love it very much through about 150 or so rounds. Gun has a hell of a thump to it, but knowing that whatever is on the other end will surely turn into either burnt toast or space dust upon impact is comforting. Very nice to be able to pull such a large caliber gun out of the box and have it be so accurate. Love the rubber gripping on mine. Love the array of special/magnum ammo for this gun. Trigger is just... the best in single action, hands down. Single and double action led me to choose the 629 classic over a Ruger. Love to show it off to those interested, it\'s hard to NOT grin at a .44 mag with a 6.5\" barrel. Will take me a little time to get it down in terms of cutting dead center like Dirty Harry, but I will have tons of fun in the process, and THAT is what it is all about. Get one. It will give you smiles the whole time you own it, even when it\'s sitting in the other room not being used.

There have been a few changes since I purchased my last model 29.This edition is a beautiful piece - stainless steel is just something special. It is not stipulated however, that the N frame revolvers converted to a round butt in 1995.So the grips the Talo edition must be conversion grips from round butt to square.Faked me out right there.Conversion rosewood grips on the way for me! Despite the petty state issues that I had to contend with (California),Bud's offered a tremendous value and a smooth sale. Thanks again to everyone at Bud's.

This is a typical Smith and Wesson. That is to say well built, smooth double action and very lite single action trigger. The recoil is manageable due to its size and weight. It is a 44 Magnum so it does kick some with full Magnum loads, but nothing you cant handle. Smith and Wesson makes some of the best revolvers on the planet, and this one is no exception.
