Great ccw revolver. Doesn't snag on clothing, while retaining the ability to cock the hammer for precision shots. Bud's is a great company! They seem to always have the hard to find guns I'm looking for. Thank you Bud's!

I purchased the S&W Model 638 for personal carry. This pistol fits my grip perfectly and is small for concealment. I fired about 60 round of varying .38 slc ammo through the 638 with no issues. The gun fires true and is quite accurate at 12 yards. It is lightweight and comfortable to carry all day. Cleaning the gun was simple and easy with the stainless material. I did upgrade the grips to the Pachmayr J frame round butt set. The gun is fun to shoot, easy to maintain and I would recommend the S&W 638 to anyone looking for a small size revolver.

Nice little gun. Shoots well and is fun to sling lead at the range, but is also nifty as a pocket gun if ever I need to run a quick errand and don't have a full-size pistol on me.

Nice little wheel gun for when you have a day that you absolutely positively have to go round and round. These guns are actually decently accurate when you genuinely pay close attention to the sights and learn your distances for the aiming points and ammo you're using, but honestly they're for relatively close range definensive use to keep your favorite person alive in challenging situations. These carry easily and have decent triggers, you just need to shoot what you carry until you are good and confident as well as comfortable with it, lower maintenance and high serviceability from these gals, you can buy cheaper but these are great quality and function

I submit that an "old school" snub nose revolver still very much has it's place in our "modern" world. Though I have a Glock 48 as a carry gun, my S&W 638 is also my carry gun. There are many situations where the small size and light weight of my 638 is needed. I just bought the 638 for my 25 year old son and he greatly appreciates it. Whether wearing clothing for the gym or going hiking, he is as happy with the 638 as I am. He may be part of the younger generation, but he definitely appreciates the utility of his new .38+P snubby. I say it's a part of concealed carry as much as any other modern gun one may buy. My son's feels exactly the same as his old school dad.
