Arrived at preferred FFL dealer quickly. Shoots very well and barrel was broken in with about 50-60 rounds (not too bad for a factory gun). Holding 1/2 MOA groups at 100 yds with hand loads. Not overly happy with the trigger; will not adjust as low as advertised by Remington but is fairly crisp. Will be changing to a Timney. Overall, very good gun for the price and happy with this purchase.

Rifle has been trouble free. Works very well with Federal 168 Gr Gold Medal match ammo.I mounted a Vortex scope and swapped out the stock for a Bell & Carlson free floating stock with aluminum bedding. The primary reason that I changed the stock was because I didn't like the rubber texture it had. Other than that, it's an excellent rifle. And if you primarily shoot in less than 600 yard situations, the 308 is much cheaper to shoot than some of the newer exotic calibers out there.

This is by far the nicest rifle I've ever owned in my life. All of my friends have been recommending I purchase a Remington 700 & I finally did. The action on this rifle is as smooth as butter. I took the rifle to an outdoor shooting range just the other day and it was shooting beautifully hitting nice tight groupings at 200 yards. It was the first time I've ever shot this rifle or a long distance before. I was quite pleased. I've already customized the gun tremendously with a Harris ultralight bipod, $650 Mcmillan stock & 24 power Vortex Scope. It is by far the sexiest rifle I've ever owned every time I shoot this I feel like I'm in the military. The price on this rifle was outstanding through Buds Gun Shop.com thank you once again you're happy customer Gary Van Derveer

This is my first bolt action rifle and I must say I am very pleased. It was very affordable for those that do not want to break the bank when purchasing a bolt action rifle. Once sighted in I've been shooting groupings of 2 MOA. Definitely going to buy another Remington and will definitely purchase future items from buds!

I purchased this rifle some time ago. It was as expected. It's a factory gun and there is only so much you can expect from it. Since this purchase, this rifle has gone to the custom specialists at GA Precision. It is now a 1/8 MOA tack driver and I could not be happier. I have never had a bad experience with this company. I live in Maryland. One of the most gun restrictive states. Bud's does go out of their way to keep you from making a purchase that goes against the local laws.
In my opinion. If your looking for a starter rifle, this is a good start and a great place to get it.
If you decide to go more precise then please see the people at GA Precision. What they will do with your factory rifle is quite frankly amazing.

Out of the box I was shooting .6 inches at 100 yards. Not everyone gets the same experience but I've had friends get the same gun and have the same success. With handloads the groups tightened up even more to a best group of .36. There are other mods I'm going to do over time, but I don't think accuracy will be an issue. The heavy barrel does make this a heavy carry so don't count on humping this into the woods. You could I guess, but why?

The stock is JUNK, but even despite that - it shot well out of the box. The grippy rubber thing was nice, but it wasn\'t nearly rigid enough. It is NOT the hogue with the aluminum bedding. Better than moa on fancy match rounds using a sandbag close to the reciever. Don\'t bother using a bipod with this stock, too much flex. When I replaced the stock, it was a true half-minute rifle with Federal Gold Match SMK\'s.

Gun shoots awesome! Put a 20moa one piece base on it with a 3-9x42 swfa ss scope. Love the gun. Did have to do so.easy work to make the houge stock free float when using a bipod. It will easily shoot 5 shot groups under an inch at 100 yrds. Thats with cheap remanufactured ammo loaded with 168 grain sierra hpbt bullets. My only issue is the finish on the metal looks rugged, but it\'s not. I use my riflemail for hunting, and have found that the barrel will accumulate surface rust very easily. I have to keep it soaked down with oil just to prevent minor surface rust. I don\'t know if it\'s the humidity here in va or if the finish just sucks.
