Hi all I'm new to guns so I need help please. I fell in love with the Taurus PT111 PRO G2 9MM BL/FDE 12+1 3.2in and purchased it and will get it in a few days I guess anyway I now need either a holster/something to put it in for my purse/body. I also need targets & cleaning tools & different bullets then range ones. I have no clue where to start so many items and choices I don't do well choosing so please tell me what I need and what is best to buy for this new gun. Thank you.

I`m considering this gun for CC so I`m concerned about malfunctions of the gun and also would like input about the feel of the trigger. Homer P Fort Worth

I own 3 Taurus PT111 G2's. After careful testing my wife carries one as her primary carry piece. I have not had any issues with my Taurus PT111 G2's, 24/7 G2's or 1911. I own other top name brand firearms and if it works it stays.

I own one and have had 0 problems. As for the trigger, it is very different than most striker fired pistols in that it is double or single action.Once cocked it is a short single action,with second strike capability in double action in case of a hard primer. Once you get used to the trigger I find it easier to shoot than allot of striker fired pistols,I hope this helped.

Taurus has a reputation for poor quality control. I bet my life on my CZ's or SIG's.

I stay away from Taurus for a reason. Stick with S&W.

I have one & shot approximately 500-600 rounds with 2 misfire.

Is the only distinction between the Pro and the Millennium the BL/FDE? Sights, trigger action, etc.. all the same comparably with each other?

These two are dimension-ally identical with the Pro being "Double Action Only" and the Milliennium being "Double Action/Single Action". They are in fact the same core pistol with different action types.

Pro is "DAO" (double action only) and the Milliennium is DA/SA (Double Action/Single Action). other than that the are the same

Pro is double action only and Flat Dark Earth in color and the Millennium is Black and Single/Double action. Everything else is the same.

This looks the same as the DA/SA gun. Is it truly double action only. I am Confused with Taurus DA/SA terminology

First pull is long, second pull is short reset. It does have re-strike capability. I like the action on this one.

I cant describe how the triggers work because of the auto blocking software picking up on certain words (telling about hammer back)

Billy, this is double action first shot then single action subsequent shots Striker Firing System. Heavier 1st trigger pull then lighter following trigger pulls.

The Taurus 709 Slim is a fantastic 9mm for less then $190 with a 7+1 capacity. It is an incredible alternative for the price its offered.
