Springfield Armory Elite RO Operator 9mm 9+1 - 5" Barrel, 9 Rounds, Composite Grips, 3-Dot Sights

Shot over 1000 rounds through this gun. It shoots well and accurate. Being 9mm and an all steel frame. There's pretty much no recoil. I only had one issue with it. The slide wouldn't lock back on the last round. From a little research, I discovered that this was a common issue. It brought down my faith in Springfield a bit, but it still did shoot pretty good.

Love this gun. Shoots so smooth and on target. I found out my Llama mags wouldn't work, but SA came with four mags. I also put a Crimson Laser on rail which is maybe an overkill since the SA fiber optic sights are very nice.

Overall very happy with this pistol. It has run flawlessly for the first 500-600 rounds. It is fit well, the frame to slide fit has zero slop, the barrel and bushing are a nice, tight fit. Thin grips are not my thing, so they were quickly replaced with another set of VZ grips I had laying around. The only flaw has been the ambient safety lever has a tendency to not engage/disengage when operating left handed. I probably will just replace it with a Wilson or EGW. Buds did everything they said they would do, the pistol shipped in a timely manner, and arrived at my FFL in new condition and well packaged. Overall, a great pistol and great experience purchasing from Buds.

This was my second purchase from Bud's. The pistol arrived at my FFL in 6 days flat. Great company to do business with! The Springer Range Officer Elite series are very well thought out guns. I felt compelled to get this pistol because it has everything that I wanted and nothing that I didn't. The ambi safety, G10 grips, match grade barrel, Heini-ish rear sight and FO front sight are all exactly what I would but on if it wasn't already there. Add in the fact that its a Springfield and know for being reliable and its a bargain. Also, its the only working 1911 I've seen lately that doesn't have front strap checkering. While some view this as a negative, I happen to like my front strap smooth! It just speeds me getting my hand into position a little faster. Can't recommend this gun enough for serious hard use!
