Buds, without a doubt, is one of the best gun dealers in the country. I asked for an alert when this rifle was back in stock and I did receive that alert. I use to drive to Buds in Lexington and my friends and I just made a day of it. Drive down, look at guns and grab lunch. I do not so that any longer because the in-store customer service is horrible. Understaffed and when you do finally get waited on, they act like you are putting them out. That’s been my experience the last 5-6 times I’ve gone. I have purchase a lot of stuff from Buds, not just firearms. This time I ordered online and had it shipped to my FFL. The online process was easy and I got what I ordered. I did think it took a long time for the rifle to ship but over all it was good. I love Buds gun selection, I love Buds accessories selection, and I love Buds prices. And I think I’m not alone there. I just think as a company they may know that they are loved and have good price points and as such they put very little emphasis on actual customer service. I hope they get better, I’ve been buying from Buds since they were in Paris.

I have wanted a M1A for at least the past 15 years. When I finally decided it was time for one I was torn between the scout and the loaded. I’m glad I went with scout. It’s just the right size and is a blast on the range. It is a little ruff on the people standing near you, but not overly punishing to the shooter. Checkmate Industries are the magazines you want to feed it with. They are the current suppliers of the military.

What an excellent piece of machinery! I shoot a rifle left handed and originally wanted an AR-10 but they're difficult to find in the left-hand variety. I assumed this platform would lend itself better to southpaw shooting and I was right. This thing points great, shoots great (recoil is very mild) and feels solid. No wonder it's one of the longest serving military rifles...just a flawless instrument. Also Bud's shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition (double boxed in a Springfield soft case)!
