A remarkable weapon for the price. Out of the box with a light cleaning and shoot all day. I live where you can go out in to the desert and rapid fire magazines all day long. This pistol is comfortable in the hand, holds an amazing amount of ammo for it's size and shoots all day long without a hiccup. It is accurate with a minor kick, but you do know it's a .45 when shooting it. My wife, Brother-In-Law and I ran about 400 rounds through it the first day. I wish I could say the same thing for my Glock 30, which has taken over 500 rounds to break in with out not going completely to battery randomly from every 5th to 15th round.
Buy this gun and you will be thrilled with it's performance. Buy it before our new administartion outlaws it, but you also run the risk of them taking anyway.

I already own a couple of Springfield Armory handguns so I knew what to expect with this, and it did not disappoint. Feels good in the hand, accurate and with a trigger kit from PRP, it doesn’t get any better in my opinion. The reason I started with Springfield was their standard safety features, the loaded chamber indicator, trigger safety, and grip safety. Once I owned a Springfield I see no reason to buy anything else.

Sold it already. Didn't like the safety, and the recoil spring is really heavy. The gun is also heavy as well. Won't be buying a Springfield again. I've gotten the SW MP Shield 45 with the 4" barrel. Beautiful weapon.

Pistol came to FFL dealer in less than a week. Went to check it out before excepting it and discovered the magazine release was VERY hard to depress with an empty magazine in. Sent it back to Buds with discription of issue and they sent the same gun arrived back a 6 days later. Someone did something to it and the issue seems to have been fixed. Upon accepting gun the second time I got it home and did a more thorough function check with it to discover that the mag release will not even budge without pushing up with one hand on the bottom of the magazine while depressing the mag release with rounds in the mag. There seems to be some kind of hang-up with the mag release catch getting stuck on the cut-out on the front of the mag itself. This was the case with multiple mags ( all springfield manufacture ) Gun is going back to Springfield to see if there is anything they can do about it. Otherwise the item itself seems great. For the most part I've heard many great thing about this gun in general. The test target that came with it showed one big ragged hole right in the middle of the target. Will see how it shoots when it comes back from Springfield.
