I have been looking for this rifle for awhile now and when I saw that it was available at Buds i jumped on the opportunity to purchase right away. I am just getting started in Precision shooting and this rifle checks all the boxes for me. I am very happy with my purchase and buds made it so easy to buy. From placing the order to having it transferred to my local FFL it was a smooth and seamless transaction and I appreciate how easy it was to get my much wanted rifle in a timely manner. Thank you Buds for everything

I've had this rifle for just under 2 years. I recently competed a PRS training match and came in 8th (using handloads). I did not expect to make the top 10 since I was slow. Accuracy wise, with this rifle I was able to clear the troop line stage which had 5 targets ranging from 370 to 1068 yards, 10 hits out of 10 shots. It is one of the most accurate factory rifles I've ever shot. The adjustable trigger is almost two light at its lightest setting and wonderfully crisp with a clean brake. Shooting with my weak hand (left) and weak eye is a bit of a challenge since it is setup for right hand shooting where you have to shoot strong side and weak side at the same stage. This rifle exceeded my expectations.

Bought my Tikka T3X TAC A1 with a simple fair price match and all initially appeared fine. Communication was clear, and the gun shipped on time. My FFL in Texas however decided that they wouldn't register a long rifle to a person with an out of state license, and had to ship the gun back. Initially, Bud's Gun was going to charge me a restocking fee (10%) and a re-shipping fee. Finally had a direct call with Melissa and she worked it all out, providing excellent customer service and personal understanding of the situation. Hectic experience made better by a single person demonstrating and understanding the importance of customer service. Ownership, Melissa saved you from losing a customer!
Gun is excellent, smoothest bolt I currently own.

Tikka T3x appears to be worth the price I paid. I have not fired the weapon nor do I have any regrets with my purchase other than shipping issues. Buds is dependable and my price was good.

After reviewing all the data I could on the internet and talking to my son who did long range shooting for the army, I decided to purchase this Tikka from Buds. Everything on the internet was saying sub-moa accuracy out of the box. Sako guarantees moa or better but only for a three shot group. Well I'm the pessimist. Probably because I have never won (betting)
anything of value in my life and because if quality control allows for one-out-of-one-thousand to be bad, well I'm the guy that always gets it. So I was looking for the worst when I went to the range. However, before that, just unboxing the gun, it just exudes quality. Everything mechanical is tight. When you lock the folding stock, you would never know it folds. It is solid. The gun comes with tools you will need. Really, who would of thought they would give you the tools you need. So before I take it to the range I set it up. Bipod, monopod, scope base and scope. Then I adjust the trigger, I have been shooting bulls-eye three gun pistol and ISSF air pistol for 4o years now. A good trigger is important if you have the experience. So this gun is suppose to have between a 2 and 4 pound adjustment for the trigger. I have the official match NRA and ISSF weights (not those cheap springs base things). You can adjust the trigger on this gun without taking it apart (though it is not hard to take apart and makes it a easier if you do) by going though the magazine well which I did. So I adjusted it out to the stop (which is the head of the receiver bolt). Because the NRA does not like light triggers I had to go to my ISSF weights (metric) and mix with some NRA weights (imperial) to come up with an approximate weight. So the trigger pull is greater than 1.1 lbs but less than 1.350 pounds. So now out at the range. 10 shots to sight it in. Then two 10 shot groups with Hornady 140 gr match eld at 100 yards. One group .675 inch. The other .625 inch. I think with practice and hand loads I can do better. I am happy.

GREAT RIFLE. WILL HOLD FROM .650-.750 MOA OUT TO 700 YARDS, WHICH IS THE FARTHEST I'VE SHOT SO FAR. YOU WOULD HAVE TO SPEND MORE THAN $3200 ON A CUSTOM RIFLE TO BEAT THE TAC A1.

A:Marc, I do believe so. The Aluminum rear stock is listed as having height- and angle-adjustable cheek piece and adjustable length-of-pull and is stated as right hand. I would verify this with Tikka Customer Service so there are no surprises at Tel: 1-301-283 2191See 1 more answer | -
