Great reliable gun for it's price #BOAR HUNTAH!!!

After one duck season with this gun I can say it's been a good one so far. I did have an issue with the front sight not having the filament in in, but after a few phone calls Legacy did send me a nicer replacement than what should have been on the gun originally. This thing has eaten multiple brands of steel shot without a hiccup and cheap Monarch and federal skeet loads. However, it refuses to run Winchester light game loads of any kind. I'm not a fan of those anyway so not a big loss. So far it's been great no matter how wet, cold and muddy it was the thing kept putting steel in the air without beating my teeth loose in the process. I'd definitely say give it a try if you want something that runs like a Beretta without the price tag.

The Legacy Sport International Escort shipped quickly, arrived on time & undamaged in a flashy black, white, & red HATSAN Escort box. The gun was in perfect shape other than 3/8" of missing finish [blue, paint, powder coat?] on the top of the vent rib where the barrel entered the receiver. No functional impact whatsoever, just a shiny patch in an otherwise unbroken sea of black. The finish on the barrel & receiver is a little rough, as expected for a gun at this price point. The overall stock to metal fit of the gun however is very nice. The stock surface is similar in feel to a Hogue Overmolded, providing a smooth surface with good purchase; would be easy to hang on to in a wet duck blind. It arrived with five choke tubes, stamped steel tube wrench, three stock butt pad spacers for increasing LOP, three stock drop / cast shims, a spare clear acrylic magazine follower, and a spare gas system O-ring. The included booklet was complete enough, but didn't include any info on the use of stock spacers / shims. A mail-in 5-year LSI warranty card was found inside the manual. The choke tubes were marked on the sides with stars, and on the muzzle end with notches. The barrel chrome lining appeared very smooth by visual inspection. Manual cycling of the action, loading, & unloading of shells was very smooth. The finish of the bolt, interior of the receiver and loading gate were all very nice with no tool marks in evidence. Overall it seems to be a very nice Turkish shotgun. A very good value for the price paid. I haven't shot the gun yet, but dove hunting this past Saturday my brother used it, shooting better than normal, taking his first three birds without a miss, a double, and almost a triple; limiting out by the end of the hunt. He loves it and wants one of his own. For an inexpensive starter shotgun, a spare, or loaner, I don't see how you can go wrong with the Legacy Sports International [Hatsan] Escort. It's not going to mistaken for a fine quality firearm, but I think it provides a very good value for dollar.
