The Remington Model 783 is the next generation of precision performance rifles engineered from more than 50 years of experience as the dominant force in bolt action technology. This is still one of my favorite firearms. Accurate to 1000 yards and reliable as the sun is to daylight.

I love the feel of the action. Smooth as my model 700. It is very accurate and surprisingly low recoil for a 300win mag. The only problem I have encountered (and it’s a major one) is every time it is fired the magazine falls out onto the ground. Very annoying while at the range, but this would mean hunt over if I were in a tree stand when this happens.

the only thing i hate about this gun is the magazine doesn't hold 4 rounds like it claims and doesn't feed well other than that its okay i guess

Very solid gun and impressive for the price. The scope is pretty crappy, but I think that’s to be expected at this price point. Sight it in quickly....the .300wm packs a punch.

The scope is really not worth much and will need to be replaced. The rifle itself is basic and you get what you pay for. Don’t buy this rifle if you think the bargain is getting the glass on the weapon. The rifle is nice the glass is not.
