Pretty neat shotgun until it malfunctioned. The bolt release malfunctioned on me after i put in a new mag and got all jammed up..not sure what happened and havent been to the range with it since. Not sure if it was a hiccup or if something is damaged internally...ill have to test it out again soon. 3 stars for now.

Nice shotgun. Broke it in as recommended and never had any failures which are indicative of mag fed shotguns. Kicked more than my Remington 870. Ar-15 controls which is nice. My issue was that when you loaded a new mag and hit the bolt release, it didn’t pick up a new shell from the mag. Apparently you have to pull back the side charger past the catch. I didn’t like that it had ar-15 style controls that didn’t fully operate the same as an ar-15. So I sold it.

The tri star krx shotgun was my first shotgun purchased.ive shot it once so far over at my in laws woods, ive been limited because of this virus, but i plan on practicing some more.ive been saving up ammo.im happy with this purchase.i bought it mostly for home defense but i like that i can hunt with it if I wanted to.my father in law is an active hunter and he liked my gun.i would recommend it to anyone.i think my only negative comment is that theres not much accessories right now.id like to get a front vertical handle.

I haven't had the opportunity to shoot this firearm as yet, but the firearm appears to be high quality and well made.

Fun semi auto shotgun. Recoil with larger shells is pretty high due to the weight of the gun. Used it grouse hunting for fun a few times and was very please with performance. If you're looking for a magazine fed 12 gauge you can't go wrong with the price point of this one. Handles and feels like an AR-15 with much more recoil. Only small improvements that could be made - the carrying handle and "iron sights" (they are plastic) are pretty cheap and feel it. That being said they function fine for shooting and small game hunting but you couldn't go wrong buying something else for an optic or sights. The box mags you cannot throw into the gun like you would an AR-15. They will go past the mag release and cause a jam should you push it in too hard. Simple fix really just be a little more gentile with it.

Hi Todd and welcome. Unfortunately no due to being Semi-Auto with a detachable magazine. A viable option is here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/160754/mac+1014+12+18.5+bl+wd

Louis, any carry handle and front iron sight will work. If you specifically want the one on this shotgun I'd contact the manufacturer at (816) 421-1400 and I'm sure they would be willing to sell them separately to you. Buds won't modify a firearm in any way, so you would have to purchase them separately. Hope this helps.

This will work great with rifled slugs. It has a 3 inch chamber so you can shoot 2-3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. With being semi automatic I'd stick with standard to high velocity 2-3/4 inch shells to make the bolt cycle correctly, because it may or may not have issues cycling with low velocity 2-3/4 inch shells. Lastly yes the stock is monolithic. Hope this helps.

As far as other accessories it has a picatiny rail flatop for mounting optics, and has puc rails up near the muzzle at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions for mounting lights, lasers, vertical grips, or whatever if it'll attach via 1913 mil standard pic rail, you can toss it on this shotgun.

Customer service at Tristar told me they are out right now, but will have 10 round mags in stock at the end of the month. AFAIK, Tristar is the only place you can buy 10 round mags. Also, 10 rounds is the max size mag for now.
